Enlisted is a squad-based massively multiplayer online game (MMO) first-person shooter game based around major World War II battles, developed by Darkflow Software and published by Gaijin Entertainment. It will be an Xbox Series X/S launch title and timed console exclusive. On March 2, 2021, the closed Beta went live on PlayStation 5. On April 8, 2021, the game was released on PC as an open beta test. ​ Enlisted is a squad-based online first-person shooter game with infantry, ground vehicles, and aircraft fighting together on the same map. Players control either a squad of 4–9 soldiers (represented by a real life division of their respective country's military, such as the 1st Infantry Division) of varying classes, equipped with class-restricted weapons such as rifles, submachine guns, machine guns, sniper rifles, mortars, anti-tank weapons, or flamethrowers; alternatively, players may control the crew a tank or a fighter aircraft (at least one of these crews must be selected for use in the menu). Players control one of the soldiers in their squad, and can give orders to and switch between the other AI soldiers in their squad. The player's squads, soldiers, and weaponry can be managed in the main menu, where squads can be switched and upgraded, new soldiers and weapons can be purchased, and selected game modes and campaigns can be switched. Players battle in large maps based on major World War II battles on the Eastern Front and Western Front of World War II. Depending on the map, players fight each other in two teams representing the Allies and Axis; factions at launch are the Red Army, the United States Army, and the Wehrmacht (each campaign's Wehrmacht is a separate faction). At launch, the game features two campaigns: Battle of Moscow and Invasion of Normandy. Valkyria Chronicles earned numerous awards from several notable video game publications and has been cited as one of the greatest video games of all time. The success of the title spawned a media franchise, including several manga titles and an anime series. Two sequels were released for PlayStation Portable: Valkyria Chronicles II in 2010, and Valkyria Chronicles III in 2011. A spin-off, Valkyria Revolution, was released on January 19, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One. SOCOM II U.S. Navy SEALs is a tactical shooter video game developed by Zipper Interactive and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 2. It is the sequel to SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs. The online servers for this game, along with other PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable SOCOM titles, were shut down on 31 August, 2012. SOCOM II U.S. Navy SEALs is a third-person tactical shooter. There are 12 different single-player missions: split equally between Albania, Algeria, Brazil and Russia. There are five different ranks that can be played in the game: Ensign, Lieutenant, Commander, Captain and Admiral. The player starts with the first three ranks unlocked, but must finish the single player game on Commander to unlock Captain, and on Captain to unlock Admiral. Players can unlock new models for multiplayer, as well as movies, music, concept art, and credits by completing certain objectives. Each mission has primary, secondary, and hidden bonus objectives. Players have to complete all the primary objectives to win the mission, and secondary objectives are optional, but add to the overall score for the mission. The hidden bonus objectives usually help make other missions easier. For example, finding a map in one mission means the player will not have to work to find that place in the next mission. A letter grade is received at the end of each mission based on 4 categories of score: Stealth, Accuracy, Teamwork, and Objective Completion. In single player, orders can be given to the rest of the team. This can be done using either the command menu or a USB headset. The game is the first entry in the Armored Core series. Gameplay involves controlling Armored Cores in combat scenarios against other Cores and vehicles. Cores are highly modular, allowing players a great deal of customization over them, such as swapping out different leg units to gain speed advantages. As players complete more missions, they gain credits to purchase different items and parts for their Core.
