I make a very nice approach and landing at PAJN, Juneau Alaska in the Rotate MD-88. The approach is tricky as it is offset and there are no instrument guides the last few miles.

Alan Shepard became the first American in "space" aboard "Freedom 7" on May 5th 1961, and John Glenn became the first American to reach orbit aboard "Friendship 7" on February 20th, 1962.

Voskhod was the Soviet Union's second manned space program, using Vostok capsules modified to hold up to 3 occupants. The Voskhod program set several firsts in the space race including first mission with more than one crew member, and the 2nd mission featured the famous first spacewalk by Alexei Leonov. Sadly, Alexei did not actually have a sweet jetpack.

Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space after being launched aboard Vostok 1 on April 12th 1961. Here I send Anatoly Yakimov on the same mission profile, sadly the ejector seat landing wasn't an option, so he's probably a little sore after that impact.

In the far distant future six brave astronauts are sent on a mission to Jupiter to land on its four largest moons. Using Bussard fusion technology they accomplish this journey in around four months.

Ranger 7 was America's first spacecraft to successfully transmit close images of the Moon back to Earth. It was launched on an Atlas/Agena-B on July 28th 1964.

The Zond program (1967-1970) was an attempt by the Soviet Union to beat America to the Moon by sending two cosmonauts in a modified Soyuz spacecraft on a circumlunar flight. Despite the successful return of several spacecraft, including a number of small animals on Zond 5, most flights experienced failures that would have killed any human crew and the program was cancelled before any manned flights could take place. That however, is entirely no fun. Instead, I explore an alternate timeline where a crewed circumlunar flight actually happened.
