Sleying the Reed - a New Way
Trying a new method of Sleying the Reed on my Louet Spring I Loom. I saw this method somewhere, I think it was on Facebook, and decided to give it a try. Take a look and see what you think of this new method.

Strickler #728 Variation Part Two
Weaving an eight shaft pattern which is a modification of one that I found in "A Weaver's Book of 8-Shaft Patterns" edited by Carol Strickler.
In this video I show the actual weaving, and how I use the foot treadles in a "walking" style while weaving. Then it's off to the sewing room to cut the towels apart and sew hems onto them.

Weaving a Variation of Strickler #728 01
Another Curmudgeon weaving video. I've made a small change to Strickler Pattern #728, and I'm using up some odds and ends of thread in multiple colors.

Rosie's Bobbin Winder and a Wool Scarf
I bought a "Rosie's Bobbin Speed Winder Insert" from the Woolery.com and in this video I show my first use of this device for winding weft onto a bobbin.
I am also making a wool scarf using Harrisville Designs Highland weight yarn.

Splicing a Broken Warp Thread
A short weaving video, showing what happens when weaving Harrisville Designs Highland weight wool, and suddenly a warp thread breaks. It has to be fixed by splicing in another warp thread to continue weaving.
I know that the colors don't match, but I also know that with this woolen warp, after the scarf has been fulled (wet finished), no one will be able to see the splice.
