It’s time to get your shit together Life has many facets, and depending on your circumstances, it’s likely that at least one of those facets is lagging behind at any given time. So if you are ready to get your shit together, but you don’t know where to start, here are some things you can do: 1). Pull out your planner. If you are prone to missing appointments, or you are running late, all the time, you need to get a planner, use your Calendar app, or use sticky notes. The key is to write down those important dates and times, so you don’t miss any more important engagement. This will also keep you from overbooking yourself. 2). Prioritize your to do list. Take the time to decide which things on your to do list are more important than other things. 3). Keep your main space clutter free. When your workspace is full of clutter, it’s less likely that you will feel like working. Not only are you not motivated, but chances are you will spend way too much time looking for things. 4). Map out your day the night before. Take some time the night before and look at everything you need to do, and everywhere you need to be. Before you go to bed, make sure you have your keys by the door, your clothes together, your lunch together, etc. 5). Keep track of your time. We all have a time or two when our time gets away from us. So to keep track of your time, set a timer. This will not only help you to stay on task, but it will also show you how much time you were spending on your tasks. 6). Be specific about your to do list. If your task is too large or unachievable, you are never going to get started. Your day needs to be realistic. To say you want to re-decorate your entire house over the weekend, it’s not likely to happen. Instead, breakdown your changes by room and then decide where you need to start first. Also, be sure to set aside the right amount of time to get the job done. 7). Unsubscribe to things you don’t need. Your unwanted subscriptions take up way too much of your time and or space. If you don’t need it or you don’t want it, then hit that unsubscribe button now! 8). Stop and smell the roses. Too often we think being busy means that we are successful and that’s not always true. Take some time to slow down and smell the roses. You are no good to anyone if you push yourself until you are burned out. Give yourself time to switch off your phone, your iPod, and just get quiet. 9). Practice gratitude. What’s the point of living a life you don’t appreciate? You may not be having the best day ever, but at least you’re still here. Do you have access to things that most people don’t, so remind yourself of all your blessings. Every breath you take is a blessing. Never take that for granted, because somewhere someone is taking their last breath. 10). Stop being so future focused. You’ve heard the old, saying, live in the now and it never gets old because now it’s really all we have. A wise man once said, “life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” - Unknown Don’t be so focused on the destination that you forget to enjoy the journey. The best stories aren’t about where you are, but rather how you get there. Take Away: you can do everything I mentioned above, and still be a loser at life. You can build an empire alone, but the jobs quicker with the team, and can be a lot more fun with others. Just remember that you can walk all over people, but at the end of the day, you will have to clean the soles of your own shoes.

We’ve all made excuses before and some of us continue to make them, every now and then. Why do we make excuses? Well, we make them to get out of doing things we don’t want to do. We make them because we are lazy and we make them because we don’t want to step out side of our comfort zone. Our excuses while they may seem harmless, actually take us further and further away from our intended goal. Not to mention, we will end up missing out on opportunities. If you are ready to stop making excuses, here are some things you may want to think about doing: 1). Stop focusing on past failures. Beating yourself up and focusing on the past is only going to make you feel worse. Instead of beating yourself up, learn from your past, so you can do things better in the present and future. 2). Take responsibility for your mistakes. When you take responsibility for your failures, you’ll be able to focus on not repeating those mistakes and learn from them. 3). Pick yourself up after you fall. You must pick yourself up and move on; if you don’t, you will always be in that dark place. 4). Focus on your strengths and then build on them. When you make excuses, you become negative, and that causes you to focus only on your shortcomings, and how in adequate you may or may not be. This will leave you feeling defeated and disheartened. 5). Identify your weaknesses and work on them. Be honest about your weaknesses, so you can turn them into strips. 6). Stop comparing yourself to others. You are a unique individual and so is your journey. That’s why it’s not healthy to compare yourself to other people. Take Away: Making excuses may be a bad habit for you, but remember ALL bad habits can be broken. Be patient, stay optimistic, and keep pushing forward.

4 things you should never sacrifice for anybody (ever). Even when you were trying to be successful in life, here are some things that you should never sacrifice for anything or anybody: 1). Your self respect. We are all worthy of respect, and we all deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of the color of your skin, how much money you have or don’t have, where you live, where you’re from, or who you know. When you allow someone to disrespect you, you lose your identity. 2). Your values and principles. Your values define who you are. Your principles signify what you stand for. Together they reflect the person you are deep down within. Your values and principles develop your character and help you take the taut things life will throw at you. They will remind you of the things that are important to you and the things you hold close to your heart. Your values also will enable you to grow and become a much better person and you will also live a happy and fulfilled life. Without principles, you will make impulsive choices and hasty decisions in life. Never compromise on your values for short term benefits. 3). Your integrity. Being a person of integrity means you only do what is right, without bothering to care if someone is watching you or not. People look at you as dependable and they can count on you. Your integrity bills your reputation. Never sacrifice your integrity for any reason. 4). Your family. You will have to make sacrifices in life to achieve your goals, but not at the cost of your family.

When you are going through your storm, always remember that God is right there with you. He is working things out for you are a good. Here are five things God wants you to do: 1). Have courage, because Jesus is with you. You never have to argue with your fear, just tell it where to go. 2). Walk in faith. Instead of asking God to bless what you are doing, do what God is blessing you to do. Ask Him what he wants you to do and then go out there and do it. 3). Stay focused on Jesus. The moment you take your eyes off the Lord, you will fail. Matthew 14:30 says ”But when Peter saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, cried out Lord, save me!” (NIV) If you focus on the wind and the waves, your circumstances are going to sink just like Peter. 4). Don’t doubt. You don’t need great faith to make it through the storm in your life. You just need faith in the right person - Jesus Christ 5. Praise God. You must praise God at all times. Make sure you thank Him in the middle of the storm, not just when it’s over. God is letting you go through your storm, because He wants you to know He is all you need and He can handle anything. Remember He is all you need!

In order to break generational curses, you must be willing to rewrite your story. You can’t change the past, but with intentional consistent actions, you have the power to influence your future generations. To break generational curses means to end toxic patterns that haunt your family history. It means to break away from negative expectations assigned to you. Ending family generational curses means taking the steps necessary to addressed past trauma. How to break generational curses: 1. Admit there is a problem. In order to, in generational curses, you must admit, there is a problem. Once you on it, you must be willing to change. Being in denial, won’t serve any purpose for you. You must be honest with yourself in order to improve. 2. Seek professional help. You may not be able to do this alone, so don’t be afraid to seek professional help. Getting professional, help, let you address, generational trauma to avoid passing it along. 3. Change how you speak to yourself. You must first be your biggest fan, in order to overcome your fear. Make sure you replace negative self talk with positive words of affirmation. 4. Change your habits. Do your habits promote the future you want? If not, you’ve got work to do; generational curses won’t break themselves. Start with your environment, then, the company you keep, then find positive role models. 5. Be willing to let go. If you have been hurt, by those closest to you, you must find a way to address it. One way to do that is to have positive intentions. You must believe that those closest to you, have your best interest at heart. 6. Commit to your healing journey. No matter how hard it may get at times you must keep going until you had the necessary changes you want to see. You can do this; the best is yet to come.

Confidence is not something everyone is born with. Most of us have to work hard at it. One of the fastest ways to grow your confidence is by starting with small changes and practicing them everyday. Here are 10 ways to become a more confident person: 1. Write down the positives. 2. Learn how to accept praise. 3. Know that knowledge is key. 4. Try new things. 5. Get healthy. 6. Surround yourself with support. 7. Dance more. 8. Update your wardrobe. 9. Take on extra work. 10. Appreciate others.

Just like our senses tell us that the seasons are changing, we can also use them to tell if we are approaching a time of change in our lives. Start looking for these signs that God may be giving you, that your next season is coming: 1. You are seeing things differently. 2. You are experiencing new emotions. 3. You have a heightened sense of hearing. 4. Things don’t sit right with you anymore. 5. You no longer care for the status quo.

It’s nice to be kind to others, but it’s even better to be kind to yourself.
