Right beside Edinburgh airport and in amongst the industrial estate.....an ancient burial ground was found! One of many in the Lothians of Scotland!

West Lothian is full of extinct volcanoes. Or relics of ancient volcanoes, as are all the Lothians! Many were actually used as trig points for cartography.

Apparently this is the only UFO landing site, and interaction, that caused any police force to get involved in a criminal investigation. Arthur C Clarke first noted this unique Scottish event. Who would have thunk it, an alien mugging in Scotland, must have supported the wrong football team!!

Just a little visit to a rather interesting and historic place. Another full of legend folklore and the Holy Grail.

A round trip of around 25 miles to historic Linlithgow. Pointing out some memories and sometimes a personal history around the area.

Callander the picturesque highland village. A bit of a tourist trap. But the River Teith was flooded, good salmon and sea trout river too. Parts of our cycle covered the area where Kenneth Moore' version of the "39 Steps" was filmed! Brig O'Turk of all places!

An ancient Henge over 5,500 years old. And it is the County of West Lothian, Scotland. Just outside a town called Bathgate. You can see the whole Clyde-Forth valley, or the Central Belt from here. Coast to Coast on a good day!
