Welcome to the first episode of American Tuned. Rob Dahm’s quest to visit America’s most extreme tuners begins at home with his own wild, 2000hp 4-rotor Mazda RX-7. Not only is the car being built by hand, but he’s also attempting to send that power to all four wheels using pieces borrowed from Corvettes, Supras, BMWs, and Skyline GT-Rs. If you plan for things to break when tuning cars then you’ll never be surprised. By that measure, Rob’s test was extremely successful...

We Went to Anti-Vax Burning Man
Pandemic restrictions are loosening in much of the world. But that’s not stopping anti-vaxers from uprooting their lives and relocating to a land of milk, honey, and zero travel restrictions for foreigners to enter: Mexico. Joining anarchist cells and eco-villages when they arrive, these Canadians and Europeans are building networks which they say will exist completely free from government interference, not to mention the global “plandemic.” But first, they’re hitting the pool. Vice News’s Alice Hines joins them on the ground at a week-long festival that’s basically the anti-vaxer’s Burning Man: Anarchcapulco.

Ukraine update: Heavy losses and evidence of brutality | DW News
Ukrainian troops are trying to hold off Russian attacks in much of Ukraine's east. The Kremlin is seeking to capture the industrial Donbas region, but many observers say that Russian gains are smaller than expected. Ukraine has admitted heavy losses in the east, but says Russian casualties are far higher. Evidence of Russian brutality under Vladimir Putin has shocked western officials - even those with military backgrounds.
On March 4th, eight days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Russian forces took control of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. The Russians have kept the Zaporizhzhia plant running – with Ukrainian staff. But there have been reports of Russian troops forcing engineers to work under extreme pressure.
There are also concerns that fighting near the plant has caused damage or could cause a nuclear accident. Ukraine says Russia sent eight specialists from its state nuclear company to the plant, where they demanded managers give them confidential data about its operation. The head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, has urged international nuclear specialists be granted access to the plant as soon as possible.
And Russia has been relentlessly bombarding Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-biggest city, for weeks. Most people there have left, but many remain.

Why Ukraine Wants More Javelin Missiles
The Javelin weapon system has become synonymous with Ukrainian resistance against Russia. But making these high tech weapons isn't easy. Can the U.S. keep supplying Javelins to Ukraine while maintaining its own stockpile of these modern anti-armor weapons?
Ukraine's defense against Russia is being supported by billions of dollars in military aid from NATO countries. One of the most capable and expensive weapon systems supplied is the FGM-148 Javelin, a U.S.-made anti-armor weapon that costs about $176,000 each.
"We don't know where and when the next kinetic war will be, and producing new weapons surging production lines takes time," said Cynthia Cook, a Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. "This may be a time where we might want to think about how we invest in increasing the inventory of precision-guided weapons and other weapons and missiles."
Although the Javelin has been lauded by the Ukrainian government, the actual effectiveness of the weapon system remains hard to independently verify outside of anecdotal accounts from the battlefield.
"We don't have folks on the ground, and I think that is a policy decision that we should reconsider," said U.S. Rep. Mark Waltz, R-Fla., a former U.S. Army Green Beret. "We could help them be actually more effective if we had advisors alongside, but we'd have to do that in very small numbers very selectively, and very quietly."
Watch the video above to find out what the Javelin is, how is its used and what it will take for the U.S. to produce more of them.

"Thinspo" in China Is Going Too Far
The pressure to be thin is threatening the lives of some women in China. Being thin has always been a cultural beauty standard for women in the country, but now it has become amplified across social media. As a new generation of internet users become exposed to the latest viral “skinny enough” challenges, such as the A4 waist challenge or collarbone coin challenge, more cases of eating disorders are being reported throughout the country. We speak to three Chinese women who have come of age in this environment and feel that perhaps there are different beauty standards in the West and in China.

This Backfired: American-Made RPG-7s Use to Shocked Russian Tanks in Ukraine
The RPG-7 was developed by the Soviet Union and planned to destroy NATO armored forces on the European plains. The Ukrainian army was using them to destroy various tanks and armored vehicles made in the Soviet era.'
Ironically, some RPG-7s in the Ukrainian army are American-made. In 2017, Ukraine began buying the PSRL-1, the U.S. version of the RPG-7, from AirTronic in Texas. So, the Ukrainian army's RPG-7 with an American accent.
From the RPG-7 equipped by the Ukrainian army, we can see the depth of the U.S. involvement in Ukrainian affairs. If you think about the eastward expansion of NATO, you will understand that Ukrainian mines will explode sooner or later.
Thanks

This Map Helps Explain Why the Russia-Ukraine War Hasn’t Ended
Check out my books on Amazon (paid link): https://amzn.to/2SiQjlp
Two months into the Russia-Ukraine War, and the battle still continues. This video helps explain why the parties have not yet reached a settlement. War is best thought of as bargaining failure, which can happen as a consequence of differing expectations of what will happen in the event of a conflict. Russia's failure to take Kyiv provided helpful information. But it hasn't completely resolved the information asymmetry. Now what matters is how the war will play out when Russia is just focused on the southern and eastern fronts. Until that gets resolved, there still may not be a forthcoming deal.

The Cruel Russian Army is Doing This in Ukrainian Villages! RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR
As the war between Russia and Ukraine has left 2 months behind, there has been a lot of talk on Russian state television Dec The channel broadcast a map of Moscow's nuclear attack. Here are those images that brought the world to its feet... And the images from the invading Russia indicate that this tension will increase even more. Because Russian state television arrogantly broadcast a map of Moscow's nuclear attack. The British, French and German capitals were targeted in the footage, which simulates a scenario in which Putin launches a nuclear attack on three capitals in Europe. Journalists who broadcast a map of Moscow's nuclear attack on a live broadcast stated with rather arrogant words that in such a situation, London, Paris and Berlin would be deleted from the map within 202 seconds. The media of occupying Russia was not limited to this, and also stressed that if such an attack took place, there would be no survivors in the targeted cities. The missile in question is part of a new generation of Russian weapons technology previously praised by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Describing the missile as 'Unstoppable' and 'invincible', Putin insists that with his new weapons they will be able to hit almost any point in the world and get rid of a US-made missile shield.
