The Maze of Catholic Salvation
The list of things one must do in order to achieve and maintain salvation within the Roman Catholic Chruch is extensive. The reality is, it's not biblical. Jesus alone is in charge of salvation and man-made doctrines and Tradition will never usurp the living God. The RCC wants to maintain complete control in every aspect of the Christian life. Seek Jesus. Trust in Jesus. Pray to Jesus.

Why are they Praying to Mary? CCC 2677
Roman Catholicism gives Mary much more power and glory than the Word of God does. Nowhere in the Word can we find any instruction on praying to Mary or any deceased saints. Prayer belongs to God alone.
In this Short, Matt Slick addresses the issues with the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church found in paragraph 2677. It is Idolatry, plain and simple.

Occultic Objects and Roman Catholicism
In this video, Matt Slick, a Christian apologist and founder of CARM.org, explains why he believes that Roman Catholics are engaging in idolatry and superstition by using various objects as talisman, such as crucifixes, rosaries, medals, and relics. He also criticizes the Catholic practice of venerating the Eucharist in a vessel called a monstrance, which is a form of worshiping a piece of bread. He argues that these practices are contrary to the biblical teachings and the early church traditions, and that they distract Catholics from the true worship of God in spirit and truth.

What is meant by “Partakers of the divine nature” in 2 Peter 1:4?
What does the phrase “partakers of the divine nature” mean in 2 Peter 1:4? The verse says, “for by these He has granted to us his precious and magnificent promises so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, and the escape the corruption that is in the world by lust.” Does the phrase mean we become divine, or gods, or obtain supernatural abilities? Does it mean that we participate in divinity somehow? Or does it mean we are experiencing the power of God in our lives?

Are we saved by Works or Faith?
In this video clip from the Matt Slick Live Radio show, Matt is asked to explain James 2. In this text, James is discussing the difference between faith and works, and how we are justified before men versus how we are justified before God. This is referred to as the Horizontal and Vertical Theology of Reconciliation.
James argues that faith without works is dead, and that true faith is demonstrated through works. He also explains that we are justified before men through our works, but we are justified before God through faith in Christ alone. This means that we cannot earn our salvation through good works, but rather it is a gift of grace that we receive through faith in Jesus Christ.

Only the Catholic Church has the Authority to Interpret scripture?
One of the most controversial claims of the Roman Catholic Church is that it alone has the authority to interpret scripture. According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 85), "The task of giving an authentic interpretation of the Word of God, whether in its written form or in the form of Tradition, has been entrusted to the living teaching office of the Church alone." But is this claim biblical? In this blog post, we will examine some of the arguments for and against this position, and see if we can find a clear answer from the scriptures themselves.
