No sitting allowed. Lol. Darian and his Red Roman Team starting to turn up the speed!

A little Hankie Pankie and his (he wishes) #MurderousMares. Hankie’s first time out at Westeraires. Elayna braved his first ride, which was what you would expect from a horse who thought all the other horses were going to kill him. But Elayna’s grit and perseverance showed along with her love of the TonofFun Stable horses and really calmed him down and showed in the ropes. A good first day for Hankie.

Legend’s first full practice back and he looked great. Hank is coming along nicely as he is learning this crazy thing called Trick Riding. Belle is…….. Belle, which means she is blazing. Beastie has really blossomed into a great trick horse! John, Kaitlyn, and Alina are pretty cool too!

Horses don’t naturally take to trick riding. They have to learn all new techniques to keep balanced at speed. This is a long process. Hank is coming along nicely and even learned there are tricks upon tricks (John and Alina’s crowd pleasing doubles). John, Kaitlyn, and Alina are working Hank with the goal of getting him in front of crowds sometime this year!

Legend shut down officially Nov 26. John finally let him loose today. He will start with tricks next weekend. Good to have this big fella back!

Bringing a new horse into the herd takes some time. After a couple weeks, Hank is getting more time with the other four outside of the isolation pen. Beastie is the low horse on the chain and is the one to watch. If Hank stays below her all is fine, but that needs time. The real trouble comes in if he gets too big for his britches for Tiana, but to do that he needs to climb past Beastie and then Belle. Seeing Belle is Tiana’s protege, that may not go too well, but if he gets past her, he will learn real quick nobody gets between Tiana and Legend. More to come……

November 26 to Jan 20! That is how long Legend has been in the rehab pen. He was a great patient, now it is time to start getting back in shape. First step……. Back in the paddock!

Tiana is and always has been a badass

Alina and Beastie will be thrilling the Trick Shows this 2024 season. You all have seen Alina with Johnny and Legend doing their dazzling and death defying double tricks, you have seen Alina on Legend doing her spectacular and graceful tricks, and you see Alina every time you gaze upon the official TonofFun logo. Now you will see Alina partnering with Beastie all season long.

Tiana may be the heart and soul of the stable, but Legend is truly our Pride and Joy. Seeing and hearing these solid steps is a great relief. Especially compared to where he was exactly one month ago when he could not place any weight on it at all.

Going on three months on OsteoMax. She will always fight through pain, but it is so nice to see her feeling good.

Tiana is back in action which means the speed is turned up a couple of notches. They are looking dynamite!

Whether it is on a saddle, Roman pad, or bareback, on Legend, Belle, Beastie, or Teddy, John and Kaitlyn will always be crowd pleasers. They will always ride like a bat out of hell. They are always a blast to watch.

Here is the breakdown from the film! The smoke was too early. The flag boot failed. Those two items caused a bad problem. If Darian didn’t take the flag with him and if Schad wasn’t down there to get Beastie this would have been really bad. Both Beastie and Darian were ok, got up and back on to continue the drill and the rest of the shows!

Three show over two days. Elayna and Legend were fantastic. And yes, that is Johnny and Kaitlyn cheering her on in the background. The TOF Trick Riders stick together!

Landon and I went on a 3.5 hour trail ride today. Here is 2.5 minutes of Landon leading the way on Legend down Lincoln Mountain in Larkspur.

Jordan, John, and I went on a two hour ride with Beastie, Belle, and Tiana. We do love to take advantage of the water. Here is a little of what we got on camera.

As long as we have had horses, there is aways an order for goodbyes. Legend, Beastie, Belle, Apollo, and the best for last Tiana. It is not superstitious when it is a fact.

Landon asked Grandma if she wanted a ride in his Go-Kart. She said yes, but he could not blare his new Go-Kart stereo and he could not kill her. Cal followed the rules. No stereo and no dying - check.

She may be semi-retired getting up there in years. She may have lost a step and takes longer to recover, but Tiana remains a complete badass for her people she loves!

The Friday/Saturday doubling billing had us leaving at 4am on Friday and finishing after Midnight Saturday night (Sunday morning), but it flew by as fast as this clip of the Stables last show.

We found another way to challenge our physical wellbeing
