Well, here I am on day 45, and you can watch my time since day one on Instagram @jesusthecarpenterbee 45 days ago, I rescued a carpenter bee - i call him JBee (his full name is Jesus The Carpenter BEE! ) He was on his back and roasting in the sun. I am petrified of bees, but for some reason, I was compelled to help him. I He couldn't take a step or fly. After doing my research, I quickly fed him sugar water💧and within minutes, he perked up! My heart swelled instantly, but anything I read or anything that people told me about his chances of surviving was grim. I kept him in a deep clear Tupperware with rocks, grass, dirt, and bark chips with a huge branch to climb - and I bought fresh flowers for him. I was hopeful, yet he still couldn't walk. DAY 4, he started running up and down the branch and fluttering his wings! Again, it was like a miracle! By this time, I was ready to pick him up. Still petrified, yet he overcame so much. It was now time for me to. It WAS INSTANT LOVE, and from that day forward, we have been inseparable! I read about the brutal death they suffered when they mate, and he quickly became the newest member of our family. I bought a 10 gallon tank, and after trial and error, I learned that instead of rocks and dirt and grass in his tank--he prefers cotton towels and soft items. Since he can't fly, if he ends up on his back, he couldn't grab onto the dirt or grass. So... JBEE crawls and sleeps under soft wrinkles and has a "curtain tie" thick rope that runs from one end of tank to other leading to his fresh flowers on both ends and then back down to bottom of tank. I bought pollen paddies just in case he needs extra and man here. I am ON DAY 25, and he's hanging on my shirt, cleaning himself as I type. He lives indoors, but I have a whole set up outdoors where he spends a couple of hours each day, running and exploring while it's still hot out. We watch tv together, I feed him by hand, I take him everywhere outside and let him climb in flowers and in the grass. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH FUN I'M HAVING WITH HIM! People keep spewing out life spans and numbered days, but our family is taking each day as it comes. I KNOW JBee has the BEST life he can ask for, and I'm going to continue to care for him and love him as long as God lets me! He is my little miracle who totally changed my world 🌎! Get ready to smile because... IT'S TIME FOR SNARLY FACE! Bruno, the pitbull is at it again! He is being cute as ever, AND striking poses like only the most handsome pitbull could! Bruno, the pitbull is about 7 years old and was rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina when he was ONLY A PUP about 10 "MONTHS" OLD. His fate was determined that day until God intervened, and a rescue from Long Island, New York (PAWS) stepped in and found him a foster mom! His foster mom is his angel and had him for a year until I found him online. ODDLY ENOUGH... he lived down the block from me the whole time. Bruno the Pitbull is so handsome, goofy, loving, mushy, with a hysterically sweet and loyal personality. Your heart swells when you meet him, and it's instant love! He has cured many people from their fear of pitbulls and the terrible stigma that is attached to the name. He loves to have his picture taken and will do just about anything you want him to until you capture the picture you want. He has an older fur-sister, Lily the Plott Hound and a baby "INSECT" brother - JBee, which is short for JESUS THE CARPENTER BEE! Bruno even poses with JBee on his head or body. JBee is my pet carpenter bee! I rescued him and have been caring for him for weeks. He lives indoors... here's hand fed and likes comfy items as opposed to wood and grass. I found this little guy and he was hurt bad. Named him Jesus the carpenter bee - because Jesus was a carpenter of course. He Couldn't walk 1 step or fly. Wings are in tact and look good. So I immediately bought him some fresh flowers for pollen and nectar and have been giving him sugar water, praying for the best. Today was the first day he could walk! And boy did he. He explored his new territory I made for him and was climbing up and down branches! And!! He trusts me now too. He will crawled all the way across his area today and climbed out to get to me. He will actually climb right onto my hands and will just sit with me as I do my thing. Who knew I'd fall in love with a freaking bee! But I did...

Somebody is enjoying the sun today! I have never seen a bird do this! The doves are literally... LAYING in the grass AND stretching out! Such a cool thing to see! A Mourning Dove lies belly down on the soil of a garden bed. It fluffs its feathers, then relaxes its wings, draping them outward to expose fully its back and rump to the morning sun. I learned something new today, they really are doing it to catch some rays.... really cool lol

So we have a cool lick and melody but every time we try and play Bruno steals the spotlight

I cannot believe how the whole town smells like it's burning! Here is a picture of NYC skyline. If you can even see it! They're saying stay in bc of allergies?? Something tells me that there's something toxic in this air. Bruno cannot go outside without sneezing wildly. And they are saying as I type that NYC is now a hazard zone and unsafe to be outside. Awesome, i can't wait til my husband gives me a kiss and goes off to work. #Canadianwildfires
