We are in the process of building on our homestead but had to have water in the interim. This video goes through the evolution of our rain water catchment without structures. Follow us for future updates as we build a 5000 square foot shop and setup a more permanent rain water collection system and eventually add water wells to our water supply capabilities.

We took a chance buying a plastic water tank with a hole in it. But after doing some research and purchasing a repair kit we were able to perform a plastic filler weld and repair the tank. Watch to see how we did it.

This is our second season using these fiber pot swarm traps and we have got another swarm that has moved in.

Here we conduct an early spring hive inspection of the "Mother's Day" hive, which was a swarm we captured last season.

The cab floor on our dump truck had a lot of rust so we cleaned it up and applied U-pol Raptor Bed Liner to prevent a repeat of the problem.

The transmission cover panel on our dump truck was completely rusted out and they don't make them anymore nor could we find a used one. So we did what homesteaders do and fabricated a new one.

January 27, 2021 We are back after 2 months stuck in the city. Heavy rains made for a tough arrival so the place is a bit muddy. Here we catch up with our current plans and what we will try to get done over the next couple weeks.
