Justifying cleaning fees [0:12-2:39]: We explain why we charge cleaning fees for our Airbnb property, which we've owned for six months. Unlike hotels and resorts, Airbnb hosts typically don't have staff to handle cleaning and laundry. We believe that charging a separate cleaning fee is fair, as it allows us to pay our housekeepers a living wage, covers the costs of their transportation and time, and ensures a clean, comfortable stay for our guests.
Expectations for guests and creating a positive experience [2:59-4:14]: We discuss our experiences with other Airbnbs that charge high cleaning fees but still ask guests to do some of the cleaning themselves. At our Airbnb, we charge a reasonable cleaning fee and only ask guests to clean up spills and put their dishes in the dishwasher or sink. By setting clear expectations, we aim to create a positive experience for our guests and maintain a high-quality, well-reviewed property.
Economy of scale, guest behavior, and lowering fees [4:18-6:37]: Unlike hotels and resorts, Airbnb hosts don't have the same economies of scale when it comes to cleaning and laundry services. We explain how a trend of guests leaving properties cleaner could result in lower cleaning fees for everyone. However, in party towns like Las Vegas, where our Airbnb is located, this may be less likely to happen. By encouraging responsible guest behavior and efficient cleaning practices, we can work together to make Airbnb more affordable and enjoyable for all.

Balling' on a Budget: My Top Money-Saving Tips
Hey everyone, welcome to my YouTube channel! I'm Rico, and in this video, I'm going to share with you my top tips on how to ball on a budget. I used to live in a trailer park, and now I live in a million-dollar mansion, so I know a thing or two about saving money to achieve your goals.
First off, I highly recommend eating in rather than eating out to save money. My partner Allison and I used to do this all the time, and it saved us a lot of money in the long run. We also started throwing hash parties at home instead of going out to clubs or bars. This way, everyone brings something to share, and we all split the cost.
Another great tip I have is to wait for 30 days before making a big-ticket purchase like a car, laptop, or appliance. This gives you time to research and find the best deals that fit your budget. Additionally, I always shop at Costco for quality clothing at a reasonable price.
Lastly, I suggest taking a staycation instead of a vacation to save money. You can still enjoy your local area and take advantage of local discounts without breaking the bank.
So, whether you're saving up for a down payment or trying to achieve a specific financial goal, these tips can help you ball on a budget, just like I did. Share your experiences with these tips in the comments below, and don't forget to subscribe for more budgeting tips and tricks. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next video!

Save money tip #2
I believe it's important to be mindful of the subscriptions we hold. Many of us are guilty of signing up for various services and forgetting about them, leading to unused accounts and wasted money. Canceling subscriptions you don't need is a simple way to take control of your finances and declutter your digital life. By regularly reviewing and canceling unnecessary subscriptions, you can save money, reduce digital clutter, and simplify your online experience. So, take a moment to review your current subscriptions, and cancel any that no longer serve a purpose in your life. Your wallet and your mental clarity will thank you. #Unsubscribe #SimplifyYourLife

A clean rental unit is essential for a positive relationship between tenants and landlords. A clean and well-maintained property provides benefits such as a comfortable living environment, reduced risk of illness and pest infestations, improved air quality and health, and cost savings on appliances and fixtures. Additionally, a clean unit makes it easier for the landlord to show the property and attract higher-quality tenants. Keeping the rental unit clean is a mutually beneficial solution for both parties, improving the overall quality of life.
