Our participants act out a scenario in which an assailant attacks with a weapon drawn from a head on position. Immediately coach Chris stuffs the attacking Knife hand and wraps while shucking with and undercook to change the stance and leverage of his opponent. Shortly after I'm the exchange, in addressing the potential danger of the weapon, he is struck in the head, reminding us that the fight can take place anywhere. Ætherial CQD (Close Quarters Defense) scenario training. At this point in the simulation, our participants are acting out an encounter in which an unarmed person in a top position notices the person on the ground, at his appendix, is carrying (a training weapon) in his holster. The participant in top position executed two of Ætherial CQD's foundational defensive tactics; the arm staple, and the muffle. Pay close attention to the efficiency in which he as able to control the would-be attacker, while also manipulating his own body movement to reestablish control and fortify the grip on the training pistol.
