Gaza's skies weep for its lost children
I was tuning into the 13oohrs news on Irish radio and was moved to write this poem as I heard a segment about an Irish-Israeli child whom the government is struggling to repatriate. Following that, there was a report on the issue of staff shortages in national schools. British Airways was mentioned for their initiative to adopt a new type of fuel aimed at reducing their carbon footprint. A government minister made a statement on the air, declaring that vandalism along the Dart train lines constitutes a criminal act. However, he had nothing to declare about the tragic fate of the seven thousand children in Gaza – seven thousand lost futures, seven thousand empty places at dinner tables, a stark testament to lost innocence. This grim tally brings to mind the biblical massacre of the innocents in Bethlehem over two millennia ago. Yet, I can't help but think that even that infamous slaughter did not reach the appalling number of seven thousand lost lives. In the modern world, it seems King Herod lingers still in Jerusalem!

Discovering Liberation Beyond Identity.
In the startling moment where the illusion of ego was unveiled before me, I was instantaneously and permanently transported into a new realm of understanding where the sense of self dissipated into irrelevance. This wasn't a slowly dawned insight nurtured over time but a lightning strike of realization, bringing both the tremors of terror and the freeing sensation of liberation.

The simple life
This is a video about A simple life in an Irish cottage
This poem was inspired by a painting my Daughter painted at my request from another painting ; I have since found out who the artist was and is apparently a local man. However I decided to get my own image so I used DALL.E to generate my own vision of an Irish traditional 1800 century Irish thatched cottage of my dreams ! (just to keep things simple!)
Thank You Lauren !

Our cosmic home. Peace now No to war
With a heavy heart, I put pen to paper and attempt to cast my voice out to the world, as a fisherman would cast his net out into the sea and call for peace. Where are the advocates for peace on this tiny speck of dust floating through space? Amidst the digital age, many voices advocate for division, hatred, and war crimes. Why do we, as humanity, still fail to embrace peace and understanding after eons of existence?
(Bing Ai was used to generate the peace image).
This video is Dedicated to Clare Daly and Mick Wallace for calling out the evil that has raised its ugly head in the Middle East and exposing the political hypocrisy of the EU .Give Peace a chance !

St Thomas Aquinas Philosophy and Non dualism
Spirituality & Nonduality
St. Thomas Aquinas' philosophy was based on the idea that reason and faith are complementary for a complete understanding of the world. He believed in the existence of God, the concept of natural law, and the importance of faith and reason. He also thought that theology and philosophy were not separate disciplines but two sides of the same coin. Nondualism philosophy, on the other hand, asserts the existence of a single, unified reality that transcends all dualities. At the heart of Nondualism philosophy is the concept of absolute reality, which is the ultimate reality that underlies all existence.
Both philosophies share complementary insights that can enhance our understanding of the world. For instance, St. Thomas Aquinas believed the natural world was ordered and harmonious, reflecting the divine order. Nondualism philosophy similarly emphasizes the importance of balance and harmony, seeing the universe as a unified whole in which everything is interconnected. By recognizing the importance of balance and harmony in the natural world, we can develop a more holistic and integrated approach to understanding reality.
In conclusion, the combination of St. Thomas Aquinas' philosophy and Nondualism provides a comprehensive understanding of the world that emphasizes the importance of seeking truth, contemplation, and meditation. By incorporating these principles into our lives, we can achieve a greater sense of purpose and meaning and develop a more nuanced and comprehensive understanding of the world.

Embracing Your Existence as the one Source
In our daily lives, we often perceive ourselves as separate individuals, residing within physical bodies, experiencing a multitude of thoughts, emotions, and sensations. However, a profound truth emerges as we contemplate spirituality and self-realization: You are already the one source , the journey to self-discovery is, in essence, an illusion. It is essential to recognize that the corrupted interpretation of your five senses has created a false self an Ego, obscuring your ultimate nature as the one true source.

The Oracle of Delphi and the Philosophy of Nonduality
The Oracle of Delphi, located in the ancient city of Delphi in Greece, was one of the most famous and revered religious institutions in the ancient world. It stood for approximately 1000 years, from around the 8th century BCE to the 4th century CE. The purpose of the temple of Delphi, also known as the Temple of Apollo, was deeply intertwined with the religious, political, and social fabric of the ancient Greek world. The primary reason why kings, queens, nobility, and ordinary people alike travelled to Delphi was to seek guidance and prophetic advice from the Oracle, who was believed to be a conduit for communication with the gods. The Oracle was often a priestess, known as the Pythia, who was chosen for her purity and devotion. She would enter a trance-like state, possibly induced by inhaling the fumes rising from a chasm in the temple, and then deliver cryptic and enigmatic messages believed to be inspired by the god Apollo.

The Fallacy of Free Will: Questioning the Nature of the Self
Many of us firmly believe in the existence of free will, a fundamental concept that underpins our sense of individuality and control over our lives. We feel this inner sense of being a separate entity, in charge of our choices and actions. However, before we delve into whether we truly possess free will, it is essential to address a more fundamental question: Who is this "I" that is asking whether we have free will? This inquiry takes us to the heart of the matter, as understanding the nature of the self is pivotal in determining the existence of free will.
