Beautiful fish in backyard
Ever since we've lived in this house, I have been dealing with the fact that our backyard floods. The reason behind this is the development company was not allowed to build the development behind our house due to the fact that it was on protected land. The company did very well work with poor materials and that lead to our problems.
At first I didn't know how these little fish were able to find your way into our floodwaters. But come to find out, the retention pond that is supposed to drain our neighborhood is graded the wrong way. This leads to the water flowing towards the yard which is hey we flood. The floods can get pretty gnarly during the rainy season, but I still enjoy watching the fish in the crystal clear water because I find nature fascinating.
If you notice in the beginning of the video, there are two minnows hanging out on the left-hand side of the screen and they move near the end of the video. I slow down the video because it was necessary to see the fish actually moving and, of course, that's the best part.
What still baffles me is these minnow fish were often found before there was a hole in the wall so they had to have found the way into our yard without actually having a clear path. My hypothesis is that the fish are able to get through mud.
It's took me a while to catch them on video, because it's hard to film fish under the water. But I finally did it, and now I get to share with you.

Pitbull mixes are great friends
As you can see from the video, these five dogs are all very close. The two white and brown dogs are Boo and Abby. the Small black and white dog is mama Coral, she tends to get a little bit too excited when playing in these situations, so as you can see, I decided to keep her inside while the rest of the dogs play.
It may seem that Boo is too rough with Sully, the large black dog, but the two of them have played like that since they were the only two dogs in the house. In fact, Boo used to have really tiny needle-like puppy teeth that would leave Sully's neck a mess. Puppy teeth are like little hypodermic needles so, needless to say, Sully is not bothered in the least by Boo's roughness now that they're grown.
Abby, the white and brown dog with the brown spot at the base of her tail, is a dog we take care of during the day for her parents while they're at work. The first day that she got here I remember she tried to jump over our fence because she didn't want to be here. As you can see, she has since learned to love hanging out with us during the day and I think of her as part of my family.
Inventing little things like this for my dogs to enjoy this one of my most favorite things to do. I think it's because they give so much back in terms of enjoying whatever I make for them so it's worth the little bit of work I have to do to make it.
