Hartwig Henkel ( Jahrgang 1953) hatte im November 1974 eine dramatische Begegnung mit Jesus Christus, was sein bisheriges Leben in Drogen, Rebellion und viel Schmutz abrupt beendete. Seit der Nacht seiner Errettung war ihm klar, dass er nun für den Herrn und Sein Reich leben wollte. Nachdem er ab 1983 zwölf Jahre lang als Pastor einer größeren charismatischen Gemeinde gedient hatte, begann er 1996 zusammen mit seiner Frau Elke den übergemeindlichen Lehr- und Hilfsdienst Hand in Hand, den sie heute noch zusammen mit einigen guten Freunden leiten. Die großen Themen, die ihn bewegen, sind die Vorbereitung der Gemeinde auf die Wiederkunft Jesu, Widerstand und Sieg über den Zeitgeist, die Wiederherstellung der Gemeinde, die Autorität und Kraft des Wortes Gottes und Jüngerschaft. Sein Dienst umfasst Lehrdienste in Gemeinden und Bibelschulen, Beratung und Unterstützung von Gemeinden und die Veröffentlichung von christlichem Lehrmaterial auf Deutsch, Russisch und Albanisch. Hartwig ist seit 45 Jahren mit Elke verheiratet und zusammen haben sie drei erwachsene Kinder.
