Bass Player / Composer / Co-Host / Producer -One half of the True Crime Garage duo. With downloads in excess of 350 million, TCG has earned the gold standard of true crime podcasts. You might be familiar with Captain‘s work: he’s produced over 600 episodes (and growing) and composed 250+ theme tracks for the show. He’s also had the privilege of producing music for other esteemed podcasts, including The Nighttime Pod, True IRL, Paradise After Dark, Framed ( season 2) and many others. When he’s not elbow greasin’ in the garage, he’s busy writing, composing and playing tunes. A talented and versatile musician, he’s graced the stage with the likes of The Roots, Kanye West, 311, Talib Kweli, Sublime, 3 Doors Down, Life House, Shinedown, Colbie Caillat, Jason Isbell, Toby Kieth, Shinedown and Dirty Heads, to name but a few. Captain credits bass players Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Victor Bailey, Les Claypool, Flea, Bootsy Collins, Gary Willis, Victor Wooten, Ray Brown—and many additional pioneering names in the biz—for his inspiration. Writing and producing music in collaboration with other talent is where his passion lies.
