"Because we don't know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well yet everything happens on a certain number of time, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your life like this, some afternoon that's so deeply part of your being that you can't ever consider your life without it, perhaps four or five time more, perhaps not even that? How many more times will you watch the full moon rises? Perhaps twenty, and yet it all seems limitless."

Building a shelter or camp to find bees in the forest Verified

Building a shelter or camp to find bees in the forest is an essential part of planning a successful and safe bee observation or collection trip. Bees are often found in wooded areas, especially where flowering plants, trees, or water sources are abundant. To begin, choose a safe, dry location for your shelter—preferably on high ground to avoid flooding, and close enough to bee activity, but not directly in their flight path. Your shelter can be a simple tarp stretched between trees, a small tent, or even a lean-to made from branches and leaves. Make sure it’s well-ventilated and offers protection from rain and sun. Inside the shelter, keep essential gear such as beekeeping suits, nets, containers for samples, food, and water. Avoid strong scents or food left out, as this can confuse or attract bees unnecessarily. Once the camp is set up, quietly observe bee behavior from a safe distance. Use binoculars or a camera to identify hive locations. It’s important to move slowly and wear protective clothing when approaching bee areas. Remember, the goal is to observe or study bees without disturbing their natural activity. A well-built, comfortable camp allows you to spend more time in the field and increases your chances of successful bee tracking or research.
