Torture Tech

That 70s Band you never heard of. Founded by longtime lovers, Davey Davis and Lucy Lancing, Torture Tech rose to fame in the late 70s with hits like "Solitaire Diamond" and "The Unconscious Shore". But following the death of drummer and founding member Lucy Lancing in 1981, the fate of the band hung in the balance. Davis would later be quoted in a Rolling Tone article, "Drums are the heart beat of music, and Lucy was the heart of this band. When the heart dies, the body dies with it." However, after a several years hiatus, Torture Tech came roaring back with their biggest hit yet "Lucy" a living tribute to Lucy Lancing, the girl who will forever live in song! Adding to that success, "Enough is Enough" and "Just like Deja Vu" topped the charts as well. With their lasting legacy stretching two decades, Torture Tech forged on, remaining in the public eye throughout the 90s and early 2000s. With their latest hit "Death is an Angel Tonight" Torture Tech has proven their talents are as timeless as Lucy Lancing herself. Surely, with many more hits on the way, Torture Tech's eventual induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is soon coming.
