Sakro Sawel means "sacred sun" in the Proto-Indo-European language. On this channel I explore the ancient religion of the sun, which was the largest religion in ancient times. It was taken around the world following the catastrophe at the end of the last ice age (around 9,700 BC) by the legendary sages and civilizers recorded in the mythology of native peoples. It was central to a global civilization that then diffused across the globe, and was behind the building of many megalithic sites aligned to the sun, like pyramids and standing stones. This religion carried some of the greatest spiritual wisdom the world has ever known and was said to be the knowledge from a prior human age. I believe it is key to understanding our ancient past, who we are, and why we\'re here. Join me as I explore its mythology, wisdom, history, and archaeology, and also its revival in the modern day.
