Over 2000 years ago God sent his only begotten son to be born of a virgin to make a way for all people to get saved. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price on the cross as a payment for the sins of mankind. The bible says: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.[Isaiah 53:5] So what must you do to be saved? First you must realize and admit that you have sinned against God. All of us are sinners in God's sight. 10 as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 23 for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;[Romans 3:10-12, 23] But maybe you feel that you are a good person. And that one day God will weigh your good works against the bad things you have done. Maybe you believe that you can earn heaven because you are not a bad person. If this is what you believe, then you need to read what Jesus said: 17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.[Mark 2:17] 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.[1 Timothy 1:15] The truth is friend, Jesus didn't die on the cross for good people, he died and shed his blood for sinners. The bible says: 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:[1 Peter 3:18] 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.[Romans 5:6-10] 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.[2 Corinthians 7:10] One day, everyone will have to stand before God and be judged: 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.[Romans 14:11-12] 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.[Hebrews 9:27-28] Friend can you honestly say that you are ready for this judgment? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.[John 14:6] 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.[Acts 4:12] Jesus died on the cross to provide the way for man to be saved.
