Phantom Music Box was formed in 1998 by musician and songwriter Stephen Lancaster as an experimental industrial project. Over the decades, PMB went through various members and songwriting styles until finally shelving the project in 2012. In 2020, Stephen fired up the box once more intending to release over two decades worth of material across various albums. 2023 saw the release of the band's "Strange Alchemy" album followed by "The Devil Knows You're Dead" in 2024. In August of 2024, Phantom Music Box released a collection of B-Sides on their album entitled, "Horns of Salem." Phantom Music Box has become known for its gut-wrenching lyrical content and unique arrangement style. Fans also appreciate Lancaster's easily accessible attitude and passion for music. His innate songwriting abilities combined with his exceptional skills as a guitarist have established him as the creative force behind the captivating and mesmerizing sound of PMB.
