Cheryl Salem defied incredible odds to become Miss America 1980. Overcoming unfathomable adversity, including a traumatic car accident that left her with a physical handicap and over 100 stitches in her face, she emerged victorious, guided by her simple, childlike faith in God. Her journey toward Miss America culminated in winning the crown in Atlantic City, which she has since used as a launching pad to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Cheryl has shared her message in churches, schools, women's retreats, television programs, and various outreach ministries, including prisons and women's shelters. Together with her husband, Harry Salem II, Cheryl leads a global ministry, Salem Family Ministries, with a special call on serving the United States. They are the authors of over 50 books and are known for their dynamic tag-team ministry, going two by two to reach families one by one. Their family ministry also includes their sons Harry Salem III and Roman, along with daughter-in-love Stephanie, and their two grandchildren, Mia Gabrielle and Roman II.

We are a family of 7 living our life with five kids involved in Baseball, Dance, Football, Softball, Volleyball, and Wrestling. With that said, there is not much time left for the family. So with whatever time we get, We love to explore Utah, and there is so much to see right here in our backyard. We also love to bottle, freeze, dry, dehydrate, and garden on our little homestead. We have several kinds of poultry. Chicken, Ducks, Turkey, and quails. Come along with us on our adventures.

We rotationally or strip graze our livestock and ensure soil health is a top priority. We do not use tillage and focus on naturally minimizing erosion, parasites and pests.
