We say that there is mental fatigue, or mental exhaustion, when your body exceeds its ability to process information and suffers some consequences. People who feel their lives have meaning tend to be healthier, happier, live longer, and generally live better than those who don't. Owning this means that what we really want in life is to understand what we are doing and experiencing. If we don't, we can start to experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, and neurosis.
