We all have that special nook in the house that is ours and no one else’s. It is the place we would like to curl ourselves in a ball in and just lay until the end of time, or at least until our problems or the bad weather pass us by. Our loving pets, too, have a comfortable nest where they love to sit and wait for us to show them some love. We might give them the most comfortable dog beds or even let them sleep on down feathers, but they would still climb on our beds or sleep on the cat bed when we turn our attention to something else. They are creatures of habit which means that they find comfort in the things they already know and are aware of. If you don’t believe us, just look at this big baby otter. Sometimes, though, we don’t really have one specific place that we would like to sleep in, but rather an object or a person to cuddle up to. Just think about little babies. Almost all of them either have a favorite blankie or a favorite plush toy to cuddle up to. Science points out that these objects give them the comfort and protection they had when in their mom’s tummy, so it’s only natural. Otter babies are just babies too, so it doesn’t come as a huge surprise that they might feel the same way. However, what amazes us is that they can be so adorable while hugging a stuffed animal. Remember your first stuffed animal? Some of you probably still have it somewhere in your home, to remind you of the good old days, when all you ever cared about is not misplacing your favorite plushie, because sleep didn’t come so ease when you had to sleep alone. Our pets love stuffed animals too, because no matter how much they love us, their two-legged pack mates, they still need something that somewhat looks and feels like them. There is whole industry out there that provides loving pet owners with stuffed animal for their furbabies, but what happens when your furball isn’t a ‘standard’ pet for all intents and purposes? You will all agree that Sakura the otter is not your typical pet. But even exotic pet animals need some cuddly companionship every once in awhile, or more often :) His owner knows this all too well, so they provided their expert swimmer with something to cling to when she is in her pen. Sakura is so attached to her pink fluffy piglet, she lovingly cuddles the stuffed animal. Seems like she can’t sleep, as she cries and tumbles around in the crate, clutching to the piglet. But just wait until the end... Adorable! What do you think about this video? Make sure you tell us more in the comments down below. If you like what you see, don’t forget to share it with others who might like it as well. It just might be the highlight of their day! Enjoy!
