On the other end of the spectrum, certain microscopic organisms, such as plankton, are barely visible to the naked eye. Animals also display an array of vibrant hues and patterns, serving purposes like camouflage, mate attraction, or warning signals. The animal kingdom encompasses numerous major groups or phyla, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. Each group has its own set of distinguishing features and characteristics. For instance, mammals are defined by their ability to nurse their young with milk, possess hair or fur, and regulate their body temperature internally.
