The Chestnut Tree Cafe is an establishment where conversations are meaningful, learning continues for a lifetime, and truth is of the utmost importance. Patrons of the cafe are free to discuss their thoughts and ideas, laugh and cry, and cherish the enriching experience of it all.
Besides being a family friendly environment, The Chestnut Tree Cafe was established for individuals who wish to converse with one other, ask questions, learn new things, and enjoy each another's company. However, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone incapable of having a gracious, reasonable, mature conversation.
If you enter The Chestnut Tree Cafe with the intent to pontificate condescendingly, cuss, yell, argue, ridicule, call names, employ ad hominems, and act downright unpleasant, you will be removed from the cafe and banned without warning. This cafe is not a place for debate or argument—there are myriad other venues for that. The proprietor and the guests of The Chestnut Tree Cafe have all had to endure such ugliness when we've attempted to discuss matters of great importance with others outside the cafe—this why The Chestnut Tree Cafe was established.
If you find yourself removed and banned, don't consider it a victory—we simply don't care to entertain those who prefer their shackles over the truth, and who think they can persuade us back to Plato's Cave (once you've left, you never go back).
