Welcome to our channel! We are a small family building our homestead from the ground up in Arkansas. We (Jay & Lindsey) purchased 40 acres of raw timberland and have built our own 600 square foot home with our own hands. Join us on our journey as we grow a garden, build infrastructure, add animals, cook delicious food and much much more! Tim and Amy Kinnard, the owners of the Kinnard Homestead, together with their five children including a son with Down syndrome, talk about their journey developing their 20-acre family farm which they manage on top of a busy schedule of homeschooling and bi-vocational pastoral ministry. Welcome to Howling Echoes Homestead, we are Jim and Jodi, and along with our dogs and cats, we moved from central Minnesota up to Northern Minnesota in December of 2020. We live on 130 acres surrounded by state forest to our East and West and the Superior National Forest to our North. We are building our off-grid homestead and creating a new adventure for us doing everything we can ourselves and setting ourselves up to be as self-sufficient as possible.
