Before publishing books, I was in a different business, manufacturing high-quality kitchen cabinets. Our business consultant, who happened to be a Christian, recommended some Christian books to read and those books helped me so much that I was inspired to contact Christian publishing houses to see if they would let me buy books to send to anyone who would read them. I kept some at my office and gave them away freely, and in collaboration with another publishing house, we sent books to prisons and third-world countries. I thought if I could see one person saved as a result of sending out these books, it would be worth more than a lifetime of making kitchen cabinets. I ended up leaving that business in 2009, and since then our small, Abbotsford WI company has been publishing and distributing Christian books in print, eBook, and audio format. Gregory Hesse, S.T.D., J.C.D., S.T.L., J.C.L., Canon Lawyer, Doctor of Thomistic Theology, lifelong friend and personal secretary of Cardinal Stickler at the Vatican from 1986-1988 has provided us with many talks and conferences where he gives a no-nonsense, intelligent, learned, and witty exposition and explanation of relevant topics facing contemporary faithful Catholics. Fr. Hesse got to know approximately 45 cardinals while studying and working in Rome for 15 years and he has an uncanny and substantial knowledge of many things. You would be hard-pressed to find another theologian quite like him. Canon Hesse was related to the Hapsburg royal bloodline. He was born in Vienna in 1952, ordained by Cardinal Marella in St. Peter's Basilica on November 21, 1981, and earned doctorates in Canon Law and Theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome. He worked as a personal secretary of Cardinal Stickler at the Vatican from 1986 to 1988. He passed away on January 25, 2006. You would be hard-pressed to find another theologian quite like him. A breath of fresh air in today’s widespread climate of many weak, ignorant, and naive clerics and theologians, he was affectionately called by several of his friends during his life “the bull in the china shop.” His example, testimony, and insights no doubt played and will play an important role in Catholic thought and development. It is exercising my legal, civil, and human rights to take photographs and record videos in public places, and to fly drones in unrestricted airspace. It is also visiting interesting places, and places of public interest to do this at. Sometimes it is scrutinising public services or exploring industrial areas. Why Do you Do It? To show the public things they don't usually see. It could be great views of the places I visit, the things I find out, or how some people behave towards people with cameras and drones in public areas. Sometimes it is exposing tyrants and abuses of power. Are You Looking For Confrontation? No. I like positive, friendly and informative interactions. Some people choose to put themselves in front of my camera, then let their ignorance shine and behave like a fool, or get hostile and abusive. That’s their choice.
