This channel will be used to post scriptural based, foundation principles in the faith in Christ Jesus. The hope is to provide easy to understand principles and teachings that help those who want to know who this Jesus is and for those who already do but struggle with finding answer to questions about what their faith in CHRIST really means and how to walk in daily life following His teachings. He came and sought the meek and humble, not the proud and “wise”. It is my hope and prayer that this will be the place that you finally can find information that accelerates your walk with the Savior of the world. The creator of the universe. The one who loved you so much that He chose to die in your place to give the opportunity for all to have eternal life with Him in heaven.

Timothy had been released from prison (13:23) but temple worship was still going on (see 5:1-4) so it was before 70 A.D. when the temple was destroyed by Titus Vespesian. Focus group: Hebrews! Jews. 3 distinct groups of Jews are going to be addressed in this book. 1) Those who had believed in Jesus as Lord and Savior- Saved Jews. 2) Those who had acknowledged the Gospel intellectually, but not embraced the doctrine of Salvation by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ. They knew with the head, but had not made the commitment to Him in faith. (returned to the old ways of The Law) 3) Those who had heard about the Gospel, were interested, but had made no commitment yet. Understanding Hebrews requires a working understanding of the Levitical Priesthood. We'll be doing some OT research into this along the way. Much time is spent in this Epistle comparing the Old Covenant with the New, and there are some dramatic differences! Temporary vs Eternal Limited vs Unlimited Conditional vs Unconditional Temporal i/e. stand-in priest vs Eternal Priest We'll also see a great deal of discussion about angels.

S.O.S. for CHRIST is a brand-new Lay-Christian Apostolate founded by President ~ Scott David Turbitt ~ Scott is Married, a Father of Six Sons, a Grandfather of three, earned an MBA in management and has recently become a Published Author (SUMMA VERITAS, SHAMEFACED, and The 5-FINGER "90-DAY" CHALLENGE. Purpose and Mission: S.O.S. for Christ was "intentionally" formed to proclaim 'Biblical Truth,' the Kerygma (Good News) that Jesus is Lord for every man, woman, and child (Mt. 28:18–20). S.O.S. for Christ offers a 'back-to-basics,' three-pillar catechetical approach to explain how, Jesus and the Dunamis (power) of the Holy Ghost will help people overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil (spiritual warfare) and experience greater love, joy, and peace. The "three pillars" are: 1) SUMMA VERITAS (Latin for "Summary and Truth") proclaims weekly (Tuesday) Biblical 'Truths' called "WHAT IS TRUTH?" Podcast. "WHAT IS TRUTH" declares brief "10-to-20-minute" catechetical answers to the who, what, where, when, why, and how the Catholic Church proclaims the Kerygma (Good News) transforming lives, ultimately, leading souls to Jesus. The "WHAT IS TRUTH" podcast places special emphasis on the writings found within the seventy-three books of the Bible, the Catechism (Teaching Authority), and the lives of the 'Canonized,' Catholic Saints. 2) The "UPPER ROOM" Prayer Fellowships are gatherings of like-minded singles, couples, friends, family, and communities coming together (weekly) to adore, confess, give thanks, and supplicate praises and worship to God. Its mission is to establish a community of believers (a remnant) that worships using song, prayer, brief bible studies, personal testimonials, and an openness to receive the healing 'Dunamis (dynamite) of the Holy Ghost' in their bodies, minds, and souls. The "UPPER ROOM" Prayer Fellowship incorporates the A.C.T.S. form of praying: adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication to God. 3. The Men of St. Joseph International Prayer Fellowship was created by my father and President, Donald Joseph Turbitt in 2012. Currently (pandemic #s, the MOSJI is in 18 countries. The MOSJI is a weekly gathering of Catholic Christian men (18 years +). Note: The vast majority of members are practicing their faith as Catholic Christians. However, men (18+) who belong to other Christian faith beliefs are welcome.
