Homer passes a pig running away from Krusty Burger after Krusty tries to kill him, naming the pig “Spider Pig”. At the same time, the lake is protected after the audience sinks into the Green Day barge is trashed after they mention the environment. Meanwhile, the Spider Pig's waste fills a silo in just 2 days, apparently with Homer's help. Homer is unable to get to the landfill quickly enough to dump the silo in the lake, polluting it. Russ Cargill, the villainous boss of the EPA, gives Arnold Schwarzenegger, the President of the United States, 5 choices and forces him to choose 4 (unfortunately, to destroy Springfield) and puts a dome over Springfield to prevent evacuation. Homer, however, escapes, along with his family.
