Watch This HD Footage Of An Atomic Bomb Blast

AtomCentral shows us some incredibly clear HD footage restored from 1953 of the Atomic Cannon test from Upshot-Knothole Grable. Identified also are the various vehicles on the desert floor, which were very tiny in comparison to the fireball from the blast. The frame illustrates the numerous test vehicles, such as cars, jeeps, buses and tanks, that were used to demonstrate the effects of the atomic bomb.Show more

Peter Kuran started his career in 1976 working as an animator on the original Star Wars movies. As an animator on Star Wars, Kuran introduced the concept of animating shadows and interactive light to objects to make them appear more interactive.
