Memorial Day Tribute ~21 Gun Salute & Taps~
Barlababe"These heroes are dead. They died for liberty - they died for us. They are at rest. They sleep in the land they made free, under the flag they rendered stainless, under the solemn pines, the sad hemlocks, the tearful willows, and the embracing vines. They sleep beneath the shadows of the clouds, careless alike of sunshine or of storm, each in the windowless Place of Rest. Earth may run red with other wars - they are at peace. In the midst of battle, in the roar of conflict, they found the serenity of death. I have one sentiment for soldiers living and dead: cheers for the living; tears for the dead." ~ Robert G. Ingersoll ~ Dedicated to all men and women of our Armed Forces who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice for me and my family: ♥ Thank you. ♥ FAIR USE COPYRIGHT NOTICE: The Copyright Laws of the United States recognizes a “fair use” of copyrighted content. She said, "I want to run like the lion Released from the cages Released from the rages Burning in my heart tonight" And I ain't no communist And I ain't no capitalist And I ain't no socialist And I ain't no imperialist And I ain't no democrat So I ain't no republican I only know one party And it is freedom I am, I am, I am I am a patriot And I love my country Because my country is all I know And the river opens for the righteous And the river opens for the righteous And the river opens for the righteous Someday And the river opens for the righteous And the river opens for the righteous And the river opens for the righteous I want to run like the lion, Released from the cages Released from the rages I said what I believe in my soul It ain't what I see with my eyes Someday FAIR USE COPYRIGHT NOTICE: The Copyright Laws of the United States recognizes a “fair use” of copyrighted content. Travelin' Soldier ~ The Dixie Chicks ~
BarlababeSurprise Military Homecoming - Tribute to our Troops Lyrics in Description This is my video tribute to our troops. I wish I could personally thank each and every Military person who stood guard while I slept in peace. I would also like to salute the families of these brave men and women. I cannot even begin to imagine how it felt to have a son, daughter, husband, wife, brother or sister leave for the unknown. God Bless. "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:19,20. Father, we thank You for the men and women of our Great Nation's Armed Forces, they truly are our Heroes. We humbly come before You and ask that you shield our military men and women from all harm. Bring each and every one home safely to their families. For those who have already returned, we lift them up in prayer and ask You to comfort and guide them in accordance to Your Will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Thank you, Father. Two days past eighteen He was waiting for the bus in his army green Sat down in a booth in a cafe there Gave his order to a girl with a bow in her hair He's a little shy so she gives him a smile And he said would you mind sittin' down for a while And talking to me, I'm feeling a little low She said I'm off in an hour and I know where we can go So they went down and they sat on the pier He said I bet you got a boyfriend but I don't care I got no one to send a letter to Would you mind if I sent one back here to you I cried Never gonna hold the hand of another guy Too young for him they told her Waitin' for the love of a travelin' soldier Our love will never end Waitin' for the soldier to come back again Never more to be alone when the letter said A soldier's coming home So the letters came from an army camp In California then Vietnam And he told her of his heart It might be love and all of the things he was so scared of He said when it's getting kinda rough over here I think of that day sittin' down at the pier And I close my eyes and see your pretty smile Don't worry but I won't be able to write for awhile I cried Never gonna hold the hand of another guy Too young for him they told her Waitin' for the love of a travelin' soldier Our love will never end Waitin' for the soldier to come back again Never more to be alone when the letter said A soldier's coming home One Friday night at a football game The Lord's Prayer said and the Anthem sang A man said folks would you bow your heads For a list of local Vietnam dead Crying all alone under the stands Was a piccolo player in the marching band And one name read but nobody really cared But a pretty little girl with a bow in her hair. I cried Never gonna hold the hand of another guy Too young for him they told her Waitin' for the love of a travelin' soldier Our love will never end Waitin' for the soldier to come back again Never more to be alone when the letter said A soldier's coming home FAIR USE COPYRIGHT NOTICE: The Copyright Laws of the United States recognizes a “fair use” of copyrighted content. (National Anthem) Star Spangled Banner (Whitney Houston) & God Bless America (Martina McBride)
Barlababe≧✯◡✯≦ HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!! ≧✯◡✯≦ Lyrics in description. Star Spangled Banner: Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave, O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? God Bless America: God bless America, land that I love Stand beside her and guide her Through the night with the light from above From the mountains to the prairies To the oceans white with foam God bless America, my home sweet home God bless America, land that I love Stand beside her and guide her Through the night with the light from above From the mountains to the prairies To the oceans white with foam God bless America, my home sweet home From the mountains to the prairies To the oceans white with foam God bless America, my home sweet home God bless America, my home sweet home FAIR USE COPYRIGHT NOTICE: The Copyright Laws of the United States recognizes a “fair use” of copyrighted content.
