Moonfleet is a British period television drama series which aired on BBC One in 1984. It is based on the classic 1898 adventure novel Moonfleet by J. Meade Falkner, about smuggling on the Dorset coast in the eighteenth century, earlier made into a 1955 film of the same title directed by Fritz Lang. 15-year-old John Trenchard meets the innkeeper Elzevir Block in the town of Moonfleet. You hear about a mysterious legend of Blackbeard and a treasure. The two decide to get to the bottom of the matter. A dangerous journey begins. The Three Musketeers is a 1966 British TV series based on the 1844 novel The Three Musketeers. The series was directed by Peter Hammond and produced by William Sterling. The serial survived destruction and was released on DVD in 2006. Naive but avid for adventure, young D'Artagnan travels from Gascony to Paris in 1625 to become a Musketeer like his father.
