Here is Sybil's bodice! This was challenging in several ways, and it needs some fixes that weren't caught at the mock-up stage, but we're so happy with the finished result in spite of such. In spite of delays from equipment, software, and vet bills, the overskirt is done! This also means the skirts as a whole are done. Next step: the partlet! This is the final undergarment piece of the ensemble, meaning we now get to move on to the pretty outer fabrics as we begin the skirts! Part 4 of Sybil's garb is the Spanish farthingale, the predecessor to paniers and hoop skirts. This was my first time completing one, and while it needs a size adjustment at the waist, I'm very pleased with it- and Sybil loves it! She adores the fabric, and we're both excited for the next piece, which is the bum roll.
