Het lichaam is versleept en de messteken zijn nadat de weduwe was gewurgd aangebracht en duiden op een emotionele daad die veel meer past bij het profiel van Michael de Jong dan Ernest Louwes. Uiteraard is dat niet bewezen maar nu het cold case team de twee bewijzen waarop Louwes - ten tweede malen - is veroordeeld in twijfelt trekt, is het logisch opnieuw naar De Jong te kijken. In deel 2 gaan we dieper in op Michael de Jong, die bij nader inzien geen alibi meer had op de avond van de moord, het feit dat hij een messenverzameling had van het type mes dat exact overeen komt met het moordwapen, dat hij een politie-informant was, aldus een zeer betrouwbare klokkenluider. Maar belangrijker nog, we zoomen in op bewijs dat buiten beeld is gehouden in zowel de film als de rechtszaak en cruciaal materiaal is om de juiste dader aan te wijzen.
