How to be a Ranch HandEver wonder what a cow thinks? So do I sometimes, lol. In this video I'll show you how a cow thinks. How this thinking affects how a cow interacts and navigates fences and gates on a ranch. Which will also help a new guy interact and navigate how they handle cattle, and how they build and repair fences and gates. Training Quality Assurance Ranch Roping Groundwork
How to be a Ranch HandHowdy guys, as some of you may know, I'm going to school, and got a bunch of video homework to do! So I'm posting it to my channel. This video is for the working cow horse class, and were going over ranch roping groundwork TQA industry standards. This video is essentially setting up the basic foundation for more advanced roping, horsemanship, and stockmanship skills that we'll practice later on in the class. The college here offers certifications through TQA (link below). Because TQA is a non-profit, they do take donations if people are interested in supporting the program / students. https://trainingqualityassurance.org/337 views 1 comment -

Why it’s important to close gates behind you
How to be a Ranch HandIt’s important to always close gates behind you (unless the cowboss says not to). Otherwise animals could get overlooked and left unnoticed, could get onto roads and get hit, or could get into a neighbor’s pasture, forest service / BLM allotments, etc. Even if your planning on coming right back through. You never know when a 10 min thing turns into hours. It’s just good etiquette. Sadly bull didn’t end up making it, but I don’t work at that particular outfit anymore.9 views
