Zechariah 1: 18-21 - 2nd of 8 waking visions - 4 Horns & Craftsmen. Picking up from Daniel's prophecy, Zechariah in many ways is part 2 of Daniel. The 4 horns are the 4 Gentile nations (Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome) that scattered Israel & Judah. The 4 craftsmen are the 4 kingdoms who judged the Horns (Persia, Greece, Rome, Christ). Zechariah 2: 8-13 - Jerusalem is central to Jesus future plans. Judah & Jerusalem are Jesus inheritance. He has entrusted these lands to the Jews, till He comes again to claim His inheritance. Zechariah 3 - The 4th of 8 waking vision - Joshua the high priest is dressed in filthy rags. The scene is similar to a court room, Joshua is the defendant. Zechariah 4 - 5th of 8 visions - The golden Menorah (speaking of the light of God to be seen in the entire world) and 2 Olive trees (speaking of Zerubbabel & Joshua - the civil and priestly leaders of Judah, perhaps predictive of the Rev 11, two powerful witnesses at Jerusalem). Zechariah 5: 5 - 11 - Woman in a UFO - vision 7 of 8. Arguably Zechariah's most intriguing vision. Certainly my favourite of Zechariah's 8 visions. This woman spoke idiomatically of contained wickedness stuffed into a basket & flown into the future from Jerusalem to Shinar (the land of Babylon). It predicts the future removal of iniquity from the Jews, & it also predicts the miraculous rebirth of Babylon, during the time of the final ruler of the times of the gentiles, just prior to the 2nd coming & the setting up of the millennial throne of Christ. Zechariah 6: 1-8 - 4 chariots, driven by 4 spirits (angels), coming from between 2 bronze mountains (my guess is Zion & Olives), whose job it was to judge the nations of the earth & report back to heaven central. This was Zechariah's 8th & final vision. It pairs nicely with Zechariah's 1st vision. Sydney Australia based.
