The Quest For The Candies

DOWNLOAD ROM HERE: https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=section&a=details&id=32483 Started in 2019 and finally finished in 2022, Green Jerry's "The Quest For The Candies" is a Halloween themed romhack about Dry Bowser, instead of trying to get his original body and form back, steals all the candy in the Mushroom Kingdom, preventing everyone from celebrating Halloween. Yes, apparently you can only celebrate the holiday by Trick or Treating and the costumes and horror movie nights are not nearly as important. Now, it's up to Mario to find all the candy and make sure Bowser stays dead this time! We make it to Dry Bowser's mountain, where we face TWO new types of Dry Bones, one that jumps like a Paratroopa, and one that throws bones in an arc. In other words, slightly new enemies that are no match for the Feather powerup we obtain in the same level. When we make it to the skeletal Koopa King himself, he was hiding at the top of the screen behind the hud. It felt more like the Boo Line that chases you around was the real final boss rather then Bowser. Nevertheless, we defeat him and bring the candies back to the Mushroom Kingdom! HAVE A HAPPY, AND VERY SPOOKY, HALLOWEEN!!!

After that 3rd level, I'll never again complain about Poison Mushrooms again... By the way, the 1st Pipe that the secret stage leads to takes you back to the Forbidden Woods.

Not only has the platforming gotten harder, but we also encounter our first Ghost House of the hack, which is pretty crazy that it's taken a ghost house this far in a Halloween themed adventure to show up! We also deal with Pogo Skeletons and platforms that prank you by falling UP instead of down. At this point, Mario should have a fire flower at all times because it's been a godsend for dealing with the ghouls and zombies...

Hopefully Mario can brave these new perils as well as the BONESAAAAAWS (They're ready) for the start of his spooky quest!
