Odin (from the Old Norse: Óðinn) is a widely revered god in Germanic and Norse mythology. Tacitus, the Roman historian and politician, equated Odin with the Roman god Mercury, and the Greek equivalent god was Hermes. Hermes Trismegistus was a syncretic combination of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth. Hermes Trismegistus can also be found in both Islamic and Baháʼí writings. And we could continue, because all these names simply hide the fact that this is one Archetype. And this archetype was an emissary and messenger of the gods whose job it was to teach mankind a new skill or bring them new knowledge. He was the one who taught writing, and the use of words and language - poetry and prose, rhetoric, dialectic , diplomacy and persuasive speech. But his emanation later brought music and musical instruments, magic, prophecy and healing. This archetype - a god made man - repeats throughout history, being gifted to people at crucial times and in crucial places in earth’s evolutionary history. Albert de Rochas d'Aiglun was a leading French historian, and well respected researcher, who was made a Chevalier (Knight) in the Legion d'Honneur in 1875 and an officer in 1889. Rochas is now best known for his extensive parapsychological research and in this video we provide his case history of Françoise Fontaine, who appeared to be being pursued by an 'evil spirit' wishing to possess her. So uncontrollable were its attacks she had asked for help, and the case history is an account of her exorcism by the priests of Louvier church. More than 1,000 to 1,200 people, both Catholic and Huguenot were witnesses. Despite using holy water, confession, prayers, Mass, and candles they almost lost Francoise three times as she shot up in a trance. "And it needed the help of five to six people, to grasp her ", and hold her down. She almost lost her battle, at one point she was even turned upside down. Furthermore the account states that she was raised three times in the air during the Mass, meaning she went into a trance and was indeed ‘kidnapped’ by a spirit being. The Gilbert and Ellice Islands is a tiny group of islands in the Pacific Ocean. Abu Hamid bin Abu Bakr Ibrahim is better known by his pen-names Farid ud-Din and ‘Attar ("the perfumer"). Attar was from Nishapur in what is now Iran. He was a mystic, a poet, and a master of narrative who travelled widely to Baghdad, Basra, Kufa, Mecca, Medina, Damascus, Khwarizm, Turkistan, and India, meeting with Sufi Shaykhs - and returned promoting Sufi ideas. Attar reached an age of over 70, but died a violent death in the massacre which the Mongols inflicted on Nishapur in April 1221.
