World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 24 Outlaw Midgets Local Hard Difficulty

*Muted due to not turning off a podcast before recording* A Local career race at Grant Park Speedway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is a little bumpy, typical of a dirt track. There is a lot of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get a little slick below the cushion after Qualifying and progressively gets worse. I find the bottom fastest all night long. A good race with 1 caution for an AI car flipping after contact was made with another AI car. Generally traffic navigation was good, but I did bump 1 AI car. Overall the race itself was good, considering I started with a very basic car, without any upgrades. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 24

A Local career race at Kokomo Speedway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is a slightly bumpy. There is a lot of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get a little slick in the middle after Qualifying and progressively gets worse. I find the bottom fastest all night long. A decent race with 5 cautions for AI cars flipping. I did get collected in 1 of the wrecks. All the wrecks can be seen either in front of me or my rear view mirror. At the very end there was another flip, but it was after the checkered flag. Generally traffic navigation was good, but I did make contact with a couple AI cars. Overall the race itself was decent, considering I don't have much for upgrades at this point. A Local career race at Fairbury Speedway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is a slightly bumpy. There is plenty of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get a little slick in the middle after Qualifying and progressively gets worse. I find the bottom fastest all night long. I slipped up in my Heat race and lost 2 spots, forcing me to go thru the B-Main to get into the A-Main. A decent Showcase event with 4 cautions, 3 for a flipped car and 1 for a pileup. I narrowly avoided getting into the pileup and picked up a few places. Generally traffic navigation was good, but I did make contact with a couple AI cars. Overall the race itself was decent, considering I don't have much for upgrades yet, and it was a Showcase race. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 24

A Local career race at Elm Creek Raceway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is slightly bumpy. There is a decent amount of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get a little slick from the bottom to the cushion after Qualifying and progressively gets worse. I find the bottom fastest all night long. A decent race with 4 cautions again for AI incidents. I had a bit of a rough time getting thru the field and got into a few cars. Overall the race itself was decent, just need to find a way to get the car to stick on exit vs slide. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 24

A Local career race at Limaland Motorsports Park on Hard difficulty. The track surface is a slightly bumpy. There is plenty of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get a little slick in the middle after Qualifying. I find the bottom fastest all night long. I managed to make it to the Dash this time. A good race with 3 cautions. Generally traffic navigation was good, but I did make contact with a couple AI cars. Overall the race itself was decent, considering I don't have much for upgrades yet. At least made another top 10 finish. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 24

A Local career race at Sterling County Speedway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is mostly smooth. There is plenty of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get slick just off the bottom to the cushion. I find the bottom fastest for Practice, top and bottom equal for Qualifying, then the top for the remainder of the night. Running the top can be frustrating as the AI will tend to slide up into you. A good race with 3 cautions. Generally traffic navigation was good, but I did make contact with a couple AI cars. Ended up hoping another car's tire and got into the wall. Overall the race itself was good, just need some upgrades to the car. At least made another top 10 finish. A Local career race at Eldora Speedway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is quite choppy. There is plenty of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track seems slick on the very bottom, but good just off the bottom to the cushion. I only ran the bottom for Practice, Qualifying, and Heat, but did find the top to be faster for me beginning in the C-Main. When I got to the A-Main, I noticed that you can draft other cars to gain speed. I turned my fastest lap in the Feature. A mostly good race with far too many cautions to count. Generally traffic navigation was good, but I did make contact with a couple AI cars. At one point I finally got into lapped traffic and tried using a lap car to draft off of and slingshot by, but the draft effected my turning ability and ended up running right into his rear end. I started the C-Main 9th and won, then the B-Main I started 5th from last and got 2nd. Overall the race itself was good. At least made another top 10 finish. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 24

A Local career race at Fairbury Speedway for the 2nd visit on Hard difficulty. The track surface is a slightly bumpy. There is plenty of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get a little slick in the middle after Qualifying and progressively gets worse. I find the bottom fastest all night long, but late in the night I find the top more consistent. A very good race with 6 cautions. I had gotten into the back of 1 car, as well as got slid into by the AI a couple times as they drifted up on the straights. The bumps by the AI sent me into the wall. Generally traffic navigation was good. Overall the race itself was very good, even with the rough AI. Game is World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 24

A 2nd visit Local career race at Kokomo Speedway on Hard difficulty. The track surface is a slightly bumpy. There is a lot of room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get a little slick in the middle after Qualifying and progressively gets worse. I find the bottom fastest all night long. A good race with 6 cautions. I did get into 1 of the AI pretty good late in the race as they checked up and I was all gas. Made quite a bit of improvements to the setup, just need to find a bit more consistency and grip as the track gets slick. Generally traffic navigation was good, but I did make contact with a couple AI cars. Overall the race itself was good and also got my first podium finish for the season. Generally traffic navigation was good, but I did make lighter contact with a couple AI cars.
