As I discussed with Leslie Manookian in Part 1, homeopathy is a system of medicine founded in the early 19th century by German physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann based on the principle of “like cures like.” Just the energy of the substance in a homeopathic remedy is all that is needed to speed up the body’s healing process. When my son was very young, he found healing in the remedies and advice of a classical homeopath, although the homeopath would not start him on any remedies until he went on a gluten-free/dairy-free diet and undertook some mercury and lead chelation. My son was so toxic that we needed to take those steps first; then he could start to heal, one homeopathic remedy at a time, in a safe, gentle, and timely manner. Classical homeopaths are strict about following the practice guidelines written by Hahnemann in The Organon of Medicine. They do not employ muscle testing, energy healing, meditation, or any other techniques or therapies.
