“The Backstreets of Shemroon” is a romance about a newly-wed couple. Unfortunately, they cannot continue to live together; so, they have decided to get a divorce. But an unexpected event postpones their official procedure when they go to the related office to register the divorce.

Years ago, The Angelica, with a valuable cargo of gold and silver, sank at sea. Ahmad Beik manages to find the place where the ship sank and sets out to retrieve its treasure. To do this and on the condition of dividing the spoils with the son of the ruler of Shiraz, he sets off to the place where the Angelica sank. But the ruler's son sets out to seize all the treasure for himself, unaware that the British forces present on the island, who have been informed about the incident, have also made a similar decision.
