There was a particular process that each individual was to go through when they heard God‘s word. This process would transform them in their daily life as they walked with God. It is the same process that God uses today as we interact with him through his word to transform and change us, and draw us into deeper intimacy with him.

Many of us who may have grown up in church, remember the words of some very familiar hymns. Hymns like “Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus”, “There Is Power In The Blood”. Or the modern chorus “Oh The Blood Of Jesus”. The scripture is filled with pictures, passages, prophecies, and proclamations about blood. Is there really power in the blood of Jesus? If so, what did the spilling of his blood accomplish as the ultimate sacrifice? What miraculous changes transpired within us when the blood was applied to us?

When the early church and followers of Jesus talked about “salvation” and being “saved”, what did they mean? Was their focus on being saved from an eternal fiery torture chamber called hell or something else? Just how did they understand “salvation”?

We have all witnessed or heard about the horrible assassination of Charlie Kirk this week. There are a lot of people who are speculating as to why he was murdered. Charlie was a man of conviction, biblical conviction, and he lived his convictions out each day. The Scripture makes it clear that when we live out the truth of the Word of God in this world, there will be consequences for it. The world will lash out and sometimes in very violent ways. Believers all over the globe are finding this out each day. Here’s a question for you…when was the last time you were persecuted for the sake of the Word of God?

We all face the same giants through life. What makes the difference is how we face them. Do we face them with faith or fear? But faith in Who or What? You can plan this one.

Jesus made a stunning statement here in response to the challenge given by the Jewish leaders.. He said that Abraham met him and when he did, he rejoiced. He clearly declared Himself to be THE GREAT I AM!
