Puppies

I visited an old friend (we'll call her Batgirl) who hadn't seen the pups in almost eight years. We picked up a new squeak toy for Batman and it's all he cared about for the rest of the night. Look how his face lights up!

Which item of dirty clothing will Batman choose? Watch and find out on "The Smell is Right!" Unfortunately, this was the second take and by now, the pups were onto me. Don't get me wrong--they were not trained or conditioned, I just had a feeling Batman would notice the tasty treats in the middle of the floor, so I gave it a shot. Unfortunately the first take that was completely adlibbed was carried out to a video camera that was on pause, not record! I'm an adlibber--if I could have a camera on my forehead all day, I'd have masterpieces. But unfortunately that would reveal too many secrets, so I go through the day and hear things, say things, and think of things and try to present them as close to what beams through the two giant holes in the front of my head. Yet, I fall short. And so what I thought was a brilliant idea is only a small portion of what it could be. Life is meant to be experienced and reflected upon to witness the mercy and grace of God and in doing so, bring worship to Him.

Batman is begging to be adopted by strangers as I look on, jealous.

From 2017 when they were tiny little pups, they did this 24 hours a day. I don't remember resting for months. Oh, they'd do this for hours and when I didn't pay attention, I'd catch them napping for a few minutes, their little tummies rising and falling to their light puppy breathing and then....grrrr....it started all over again.
