RiceShowerThis episode is called "Tokai Teio' Summary: A young Tokai Teio is inspired to become a racer after watching Symboli Rudolf win a race. During Symboli's photo-shoot Tokai, crashes it and proclaims that she wants to be one day wants to be like her. To that declaration, Symboli states to Tokai in order to achieve her dream she'll have to attend Tracen Academy. In the present, news of McQueen's victory in the Tennoushou Spring Cup spreads as does news of the undefeated Tokai who has won 5 consecutive races. Tokai in question, leaves her dorm room and after getting a drink from a food truck, is approached by a young girl and her father who are fans of hers. They wish her the best of luck for her in the upcoming Japanese Derby and is then approached by a group of people who want her autograph. Meanwhile, at the academy, the members of Team Spica enter through the gateway and are greeted by Tazuna Hayakawa. Once Tokai finally passes through, she's confronted by her teammates and reminded that open campus is that day and their team will be hosting it. Later the girls show the young visitors around the school. Tokai along with McQueen, show a couple of young horse girls around the campus starting with the library, then the pool, and the courtyard where the hollow stump is at. Stopping in front of a building, the two girls then state their respect for either McQueen or Tokai. That afternoon at Team Spica's base, Trainer congratulates the girls for their hard work that day and hopes that Tokai win her upcoming race. Confidently, Tokai declares that she will and that night, she waits for Symboli by the gateway and the two walk and reminiscence about old times. The next day during practice, Tokai and McQueen have a mini speed competition with each other during practice and at lunch. Tokai enjoys lunch with Nice Nature and they're soon joined by Twin Turbo who plans on beating her at the Japan Derby race. However, Nice informs her that she can't participate in that cup. To prepare herself for the cup, Tokai does solo training and eventually on her day off catches McQueen at a temple and briefly talk with each other. The day of the Japan Derby cup arrives and Tokai is a favorite to win. In the end, Tokai does win her race and then performs in the winning concert.12 views -

RiceShowerThis episode is called as ‘Never Gonna Give It Up’ Summary: Trainer takes Tokai to see a doctor where they learn she has a fractured leg and will be unable to race again until spring of next year and must be hospitalized. Upon hearing this, Tokai throws a temper tantrum, until the doctor injects her with some pain killers to numb the pain, which makes her shriek in pain. Later, in the waiting room of the doctor's building, Tokai tells Trainer her resolve to participate in the Kikkashou race, despite her imposed 6 month recovery by the doctor. Although initially Trainer doesn't want to allow Tokai to race, he compromises claiming he'll come up with a plan. Happy that she'll be able to have a chance to become a undefeated Triple Crown winner, however, she's irked when she has to check into a hospital. Eventually, news of Tokai's fractured leg spreads and her fans along with her fellow teammates are shocked by the news. To counter the possibility of not able to attend the Kikkashou race, Trainer purchase a bunch of rehab books so Tokai can participate in the race that upcoming November. Sometime later, Tokai returns to her team base and shocks her team with her presence there. Trainer then announces that he's set up an itinerary to help Tokai with her rehab recovery for her leg fracture. Tokai's teammates all voice their support for Tokai. Afterward on the racetrack field, Tokai carefully observes her teammates as they practice, informing a curious McQueen that its image training Trainer told her about. When they're done talking, Vodka gives Tokai some weights and Daiwa some incense. Gold tries to lend Tokai her segway, however, it gets stuck in the ground and Spe asks to meet Tokai in her dorm later that night. By that time, Spe contacts Suzuka via video call and they talk with her. The following day, following Suzuka's advice, assiduously studies rehab related books in the library. Later, Nature asks her trainer who was with Turbo that she wants to enter in the Kikkashou race. This excites Turbo as she too now wants to enter in the race as well. On the streets, Tokai is picked up by McQueen and driven to her mansion. There McQueen informs Tokai her resolve to help her recover. McQueen's butler then introduces to Tokai a physical therapist, acupuncturist, chef, and patisserie, each of them ordered to help her out with Tokai's recovery for the weekend. A doctor is also available and when Tokai sees a needle in his hand, Tokai freaks out while, McQueen takes her leave, much to Tokai's dismay. Eventually, Tokai's cast comes off and she starts training again. In the month of September, during lunch, Tokai enjoys her lunch and is soon joined by Nice and then another member of her team Ikuno Dictus. From there, Ikuno proclaims her team's wish to become the first forefront team in the academy stating that it was Nice's original idea. She goes onto explains the elaborate details behind the plan, however, Tokai and Nice have their own conversation, where Nice states she wants to beat Tokai in the Kikkashou race. Hearing this makes Tokai internally fired up and in October continues her training, moving at a faster pace. However, Tokai learns from her doctor sad news, and when she goes to Trainer's office to tell him the bad news, she sees him diligently doing preparations for Tokai's race. It's then that Tokai informs trainer that her dreams of entering the Kikkashou race is impossible for her as she can't run at full speed. The day of the Kikkashou race arrives and although Nice tries her best she places in 4th. On a train ride home, Tokai details to Trainer that she's not unhappy that she wasn't unable to enter the Kikkashou race, but now resolved to achieve her as an undefeated horse girl.31 views -

RiceShowerThis episode is called 'Meetings' Early in the morning, Tokai trains by herself at the racetrack. On the night of the new year festival and all of Team Spica attend it. Tokai along with McQueen and Trainer talk about the past year. They're then approached by Twin and Nice who introduce their newest team member, Matikanetannhauser. Later Team Spica pray at the temple each giving their own prayer. The day after, Tokai practices with her team around the racetrack and when she spots Symboli watching her, gives her the energy to speed up. Tazuna then approaches Trainer and notifies him that Tokai and McQueen have been selected for the URA awards. During the awards, the two criticize each other over each other's credentials to receive their respective award. After they states their goals, Team Canopus who watched the play back the following day, announce their resolve to take down Team Spica. They then shoot an arrow with a message attached to it at Team Spica's base. The contents to the message is a badly written challenge to the Team, written by Turbo. It's then that Tokai announces her plans to enter the Spring Tennoushou race and her resolve to live up to her goal as an undefeated horsegirl. McQueen who was also planning on racing in that race, confidently accepts Tokai entering that race and Trainer allows it. In order for them to qualify for the Spring Tennoushou race, Tokai has to win the Osaka Hai and McQueen the Hanshin Daishoten. From there on out, both McQueen and Tokai earnestly train and Team Canopus hold an informal meeting on how to defeat Team Spica. As this goes on, Ikuno watches Tokai's training stating, she'll analyze her every move as she's her rival in the Osaka Hai race. Late that afternoon, Tokai and McQueen walk together and reflect on how they first met each other in school. A rainy day opening for the Hanshin Daishoten race, but it doesn't hinder McQueen in the slightest as she wins her race with ease.18 views -

RiceShowerThis episode is called 'TM Showdown' Summary: The day of the Osaka Hai race arrives and Tokai easily wins the race, much to Ikuno's dismay who later states to her Team at lunch that Tokai is on a different level. Ikuno's teammates concur with her and at another table, Tokai does a photo shoot with her adoring fans, as McQueen can't eat her lunch because of her own doting fans. Sitting at another table, Spe, Grass, and Condor sit at a table and talk about an upcoming race featuring a rising star girl horse named Mihono Bourbon. The girl in question was eating her lunch with another girl named Sakura Bakushin O who tries to convince her to join her, but she flatly refuses. Later a horse girl named Mejiro Palmer has her fortune told by Matikanefukukitaru who suggests she get a partner. Outside of the fortune tent, Palmer starts a conversation with Daitaku Helios who screamed her woes into a hallow tree stump. The two get along well and when Matikanefukukitaru leaves the tent, spots the two talking gleefully together, notes that it didn't take her long to find someone. Elsewhere, Bourbon practices with her team under the supervision of her trainer and on another track, Team Spica do some stretches and get a lecture from Trainer. Her also gives Tokai some jogging shoes and McQueen heavy horse shoes for training purposes. Meanwhile, Team Canopus hold a strategy meeting at their base, which easily falls apart in less than a minute thanks to Twin's demonstration. As that went on, Tokai and McQueen both diligently train following Trainer's advice. An announcement by race commentator Misato Akasaka notes that the favorite to win the Satsukishou race is rising star Bourbon, who was doing some jogging in a park. During this a stalker tries to tail her, but Bourbon easily out runs her. Back at the academy, Gold, Vodka, Daiwa, and Spe plan to set off on a day out together and invite Tokai along as well. She, however, declines in favor for training for the Spring Tennoushou. McQueen also appears and tacitly declines the offer to join them showing her jumpsuit as proof to want to train that day. This inspires the team to instead of having a day out with each other help train Tokai and McQueen. While Team Spica help Tokai and McQueen with their respective training, the Satsukishou race is held and she easily wins the race out doing Mati who also raced in it as well. Eventually, a joint press conference between Tokai and McQueen is held and during it, McQueen is frustrated that the press states that the world favors Tokai more than her. This is heavily accentuated on by the press favoring Tokai over McQueen. Around dusk, Symboli meets with Tokai by the academy gates, and they talk on the bleacher stands of the race track about her trainer's training routine for her. At her mansion, McQueen vents her frustration over Tokai's publicity to her grandmother. In response, her grandmother reminds McQueen of the story of the tortoise and the hare. To that, McQueen understands how she's hopefully focusing her attention far too much on Tokai than her goal.35 views -

RiceShowerThis episode is called 'Unbeaten Champion' Summary: The day of the Spring Tennoushou is just around the corner and fans of either racer argue whom will be the winner of the race. On Gold's personal online video channel, she interviews Trainer that instantly falls apart. Tokai trains with Daiwa and Vodka, while McQueen trains with Gold and Spe, and the two of them easily out run their teammates. Trainer notes how both McQueen and Tokai have powered up significantly. At another time, Bourbon is once again chased by a stalker and manages to once again out run the person. In the Fortune Teller tent, Mejiro Palmer accompanied by Daitaku asks about how the Spring Tennoushou race will turn out as she's participating in it. Matikanefukukitaru foretells that Palmer must ultim-outrun her competition. While jogging, Tokai runs into Turbo and the two briefly talk. Eventually, the day of the Spring Tennoushou race arrives, Tokai and McQueen do some early morning practice. By the time of the race, the two commentators, Misato and Junko give their thoughts and opinions on both Tokai and McQueen. They sequentially introduce the other racers partaking in the race and in the audience watching is Nice and Ikuno. Walking down the tunnel way onto the racetrack, McQueen and Tokai have a brief chat with each other. McQueen exits the tunnel first and receives a warm introduction that's sadly only 2nd to the introduction that Tokai received. Right before the start of the race, Palmer finds a broken piece of McQueen's horseshoe on the ground and because of this the race is temporarily delayed until it's mended. Once the race finally starts, McQueen manages to out pace Tokai in it and win. Although, Tokai is disheartened by the loss, she doesn't hold it against McQueen and embraces her while congratulating her for her win in the race.6 views -

RiceShowerThis episode is called 'Searching for a reason' Summary: During one of Tokai's classes, the teacher explains how a racer must win consecutive wins in order to qualify for the G-1 races and Tokai is caught daydreaming. It turns out that Tokai injured her right leg during the race. Laying on a field as dusk settles, Tokai considers what is left for her now that she has nothing left to race for. Time passes by and a fully healed yet crestfallen looking Tokai runs into McQueen's butler by the academy gates. In the Student Council office, McQueen informs Symboli about her injury and the time it'll take to heal. Upon returning to her car, she figures out that her butler informed Tokai about her condition, which she figures saves her some trouble. Before the start of their practice, Team Spica are informed about McQueen's condition, all but Tokai is surprised by the news. She in fact was acting rather aloof until her teammates note as if she's alright, but she brushes it off. Later in the base, Trainer gives Tokai and outline of the race plan for fall. Tokai briskly reviews it over, approves of it, and leave. An interview held by Misato and Junko of now rising star Palmer is held and during it she mentions, Helios during it. The interview then shifts its focus to another rising star Mihono Bourbon, who confronts her stalker Rice Shower. Later that night in a bar, Trainer shares a drink with Hana and confines to her, his thoughts on how inadequate Tokai is currently compared to how she was in the past. In response, Hana gives him a brutal pep talk and walks out on him. After that because he's unable to cover his tab there, Trainer covers the cost of his tab by washing dishes. On the day of the Kikkoushou, the race where Bourbon was projected to win, she loses to Rice, which is a major shock. In her interview, Bourbon claims that she's gained some insight from this loss and abruptly ends the interview by walking away. Tokai, who was watching the interview, recites the words that Bourbon spoke about gaining something from losing. Eventually, Tokai runs in another race and in it, she places in 11th. Soon after the race, news of her sustaining another injury spreads. Also, Tokai is appointed the leader of Team Spica by Trainer and is forced to wear a banner that says "I am the leader" written on it. Although Tokai hates the idea, she's coaxed to wear it as a sort of inspiration to help her get motivated to win races. She's then forced to do menial labor for her team, when she's done with that she meets with trainer overseeing her team's practice. Trainer asks Tokai to then pass out some water to the group and when she does, Tokai inquires what Vodka and Daiwa's goals are. Because their goals are the same as the other's, this starts a fervent argument between the two. Sent on a special mission by Trainer, Tokai takes a bus ride to the mission destination, and meets a big fan of hers. Arriving at the destination, she's greeted by McQueen's butler who leads her inside the place, which turns out to be ones of McQueen's family own places. After having a heart to heart with McQueen, Tokai becomes resolved to take racing seriously again and so McQueen has her go through the "Special treatment" she had her do last time.13 views -

RiceShowerThis episode is called 'A Blessed Name' Summary: On a rainy day, McQueen wins another race which was hailed as a perfect win. In the audience was Trainer and everyone in Team Spica, also there was Rice who heard voices of disdain about her win against Bourbon. At the Mejiro mansion, McQueen's winning streak is celebrated by Ryan and Dober. The name Rice Shower is noted to be a worthy race rival to McQueen as her time segments are nothing to sneeze at. However, McQueen downplays Rice and denotes that she'll face off against her when the time comes and will win against her in the Spring Tennoushou. News of both McQueen and Rice's race achievements are broadcast in the news much to the embarrassment of Rice who overhears a couple of men talking about her. At Team Canopus' base, the team talk about Rice and soon realize that their Mati was the only one who ever beat Rice. Walking together on campus, Palmer and Helios talk about their recent races and soon run into a aloof Rice who doesn't speak to either of them when she walks past them. Later, reading some articles on a billboard about some star racers including Rice. McQueen the approaches Rice and offers her hand stating, she looks forward to racing her in the upcoming Spring Tennoushou. Timidly, Rice states she has no plans to race in it or ever again and runs off. The information of Rice not wanting to race anymore is relayed to everyone on Team Spica, however, it's note that Rice is still on the race roster. Therefore, her reason is believed to be a personal one than anything else. Although McQueen was looking forward to racing Rice, Trainer states that she should continue training. To that, Tokai suggests she train with her as do the rest of the team. Eventually, Tokai and the rest of the team try and ask Rice about the Spring Tennoushou, but fails until Gold manages to capture her. The captured Rice is brought back to the Spica base and is asked why she's dropping out of the race. From there she details her reason for not wanting to enter was mainly due to her not being wanted around others. Rice then elaborates her reason detailing how Bourbon inspired her and how distraught she felt after she won against her. Taking her leave, Rice walks past a perplexed Syboli and the details surrounding Rice are explained to McQueen by Tokai. The following day, Tokai runs into Bourbon and the two talk to each other about recovering from their injuries and during it, Bourbon states her anxious desire to redeem herself. When Rice is mentioned by Bourbon, Tokai then informs her of the situation surrounding her. Soon after, Rice is confronted by the two and Bourbon gives her a "Words of encouragement", however, this frightens her and she runs off. This escalates into the two having to chase after Rice all across the campus into dusk. When they finally are able to talk with her, Rice opens up of why she aimed to beat her in the Kikkoushou race to have people accept her. Her plans backfired, though, and instead people started to resent her instead. In her own words, Rice is nothing more than a "Heel" It's then that Bourbon confesses that she's heavily injured and considered giving up racing all together. However, it was Rice herself that inspired her to continue racing. Bourbon then states that Rice isn't a "Heel", but a "Hero". Hearing these words, gives Rice the courage to continue racing once again.12 views -

RiceShowerThis episode is called 'Small Wish' Summary: On a early morning jog, McQueen is approached by Rice and the two start to jog and talk together. After their brief talk, McQueen outruns Rice leaving her winded. Daiwa, Vodka, McQueen and Tokai walk to school together as Tokai pulls out a newspaper article denoting Rice is aiming to take down McQueen in the Spring Tennoushou. Rice who was at an abandoned school's racetrack planned to camp there and practice. Because of this, she hasn't attended school for the next two days, which is learned by Tokai from Ikuno and Mati. Symboli does some detective work and after investigating Rice's desk, finds a map to someplace and after following it finds Rice diligently training. The two then have a heart to heart together and after it, Rice continues her training and Symboli notices the pile of muddy used shoes that she once used for her training. On the practice racetracks Trainer is informed about Rice's absence from school. McQueen then speeds past them and Trainer records the time noting how fast her time was. Wanting to keep the pace up, McQueen does another lap. An interview of Team Canopus's trainer who is accompanied by Turbo is done on the practice field, another interview is also conducted about Palmer, by Helios. The day of the Spring Tennoushou arrives and all eyes are on McQueen continuing her winning streak of the race cup. McQueen who was preparing herself in her dressing room, has a chat with Tokai, before walking down the tunnel way and runs into Rice, who emits a dark aura. The aura and the fiery look in Rice's eye shocks McQueen still. McQueen's anxiety is noted by her team and had to be lead inside her position of the race gate. Once every racer was in their proper spot within the race gate, the race begins and what was a close race, Rice wins and achieves a new race record. While she may have won, her victory may have been another pyrrhic one, this changes, when McQueen claps for Rice while smiling, causing the audience to follow suit. In the tunnel way, Bourbon congratulates and consoles the emotional Rice. An after-party is held for McQueen at Team Spica's base, but McQueen is nowhere to be found. Therefore, Tokai sets out to find McQueen and when she does, eavesdrops on a conversation she has with Ikuno.32 views -

RiceShowerThis episode is called 'Stopwatch' Summary: McQueen is driven to school by her butler and runs into Tokai who is doing some jogging. They briefly talk and when McQueen heads off, Tokai speeds by her at an amazing rate. Later that day at the racetrack, Tokai does some practice laps, which is monitored by Trainer. At lunch, Tokai finds Rice in the cafeteria and Tokai declares that she'll avenge McQueen in the next race she's in with Rice. Afterward, Team Spica and Team Canopus watch the Japanese derby cup where it was a close three-way race between Narita Taishin, Biwa Hayahide, and Winning Ticket. In the end Ticket wins, with Biwa placing in 2nd, and Taishin in 3rd. The members of Team Canopus discuss the race and their interest in beating Team Spica. Outside in the school courtyard, McQueen talks with Palmer about their upcoming race the Takarazuka Kinen. That afternoon, Symboli and Tokai go for a dusk outing on some swan boats. They discuss Tokai's reason for avoiding Symboli and leads into her confession of anxiety of wanting to continue racing so she could live up to Symboli. The following day, Turbo approaches Tokai on the race tracks and is quickly broken up by Ikuno. With a new goal in mind, Tokai once again fractures her leg and the doctor tells her that she may never able to race again at her current full speed. News of this spreads and friends and fans alike are distraught by it. Eventually, McQueen wins the Takarazuka Kinen and a crestfallen Tokai watches from her room now donning a leg cast. Afterward, Tokai reunites with her team and becomes the leader again and later she meets a couple of former fans whose words unintentionally hurt Tokai. That night, Tokai has a nightmare about not being able to stay up to speed with her teammates. The next day, Tokai overhears a conversation with McQueen about her condition. Later Trainer talks with Tokai and they're soon joined by the members of Team Spica who back at the base reveal they want to make her a nutritional drink to help her with her recovery. Afterward, Tokai acts as McQueen's timer as she runs on the practice track and during it, McQueen comments that she'll be waiting for Tokai. Clocking in McQueen's final time, Tokai tearfully admits that she'll never run as fast as she used to again.30 views 2 comments -

RiceShowerThis episode is called 'One Day, Without a Doubt' Summary: Around dawn, Tokai takes down the paper that has her goal written on it from the small bulletin board on her bed noting her dreams are over. At their school, Kita and Sato sit in their classroom, while Kita creates a good luck charm for Tokai. Meanwhile, Team Spica wonder where Tokai has been the past couple of days. Believing the reason to be they team had been exploiting Tokai as their "Leader" by doing the chores around the place. Spe suggests setting up a carrot trail leading from outside Tokai's dorm building leading to the Spica base. However, that is admonished as a ridiculous plan and McQueen plans on racing in place of Tokai, and at that time, Tokai gives her withdrawal letter to Trainer. On the track tracks, Turbo wins her first race in a long time and Symboli is shown to have watched the live feed of it from the Student Council office. Tokai then enters the room and requests to talk a bit. They talk about her resent resignation and Hana eavesdrops on it and amid it receives a call from Trainer inviting her to a drink, to which, she accepts. Outside of the academy, Tokai sees some horse girls training and noting how she can no longer race, she decides to spend the rest of the day having fun. Although she does have fun, it doesn't resolve any of the bitterness that she feels. Returning to the academy, Kita waits outside of the gates, Kita is seen waiting there. Once Kita spots Tokai, she offers her the good luck charm that she made stating that she hopes that Tokai will one day run again. However, Tokai refuses it and admonishes Kita from following in her foot steps. Later that night at the bar, Trainer enjoys a drink with Hana and talk about Tokai. Trainer details his desire to have Tokai capable of racing again. The following day, Team Spica is informed of Tokai's withdrawal from the team. Just then, Tokai arrives and packs up her things from her locker. Her team offers to help her recover and retrain her to race, but Tokai kindly declines, and McQueen states to Tokai that she'll race in place of Tokai. The day of the Tracen Academy Fan Appreciation Day is coming up and preparations for the event are in process while. Amid this, Team Spica set up a special concert about Tokai. By dusk, Tokai's leg cast is shown to have come off and is able to run again. Turbo then approaches Tokai and tries to persuade her to race again, mainly the next race she'll be participating in the All Comers race. On the other hand, the registration for that race has ended and that she's done with racing. Turbo then tearfully runs away while cursing Tokai and vents her frustrations to her Team. On the day of the Fan Appreciation Day, Tokai tries to announce her retirement from racing during her special concert. It was after spotting Kita in the crowd and Trainer along with everyone in the audience cheer for Tokai to return to racing. At that moment, the tv hung in the back of the stage shows the All Comers race where Turbo manages to win the race. Tokai's teammates and everyone in the audience then cheer for Tokai to make a comeback and she tearfully announces that she will.44 views
