The Haunting of Wood House Island
TheHealersHutWood Island Lighthouse, located in Saco Bay, Maine. This is the Three Little Pigs of light houses. The wooden one was no good, the rubble stone one lead to the building of the keeper's house but still had some problems, and then finally the last light house of granite is the one that we see here today. It's not just the foundation issues that lead to questions about the light house and island it's on. There are ghosts that roam the island as well. The main spirits are Fred Milliken and Harry Hobbs who both lost their lives on the island. There are also some other spirts that have ended up there. How? No one can be quite sure. The New England Ghost Project plays a big role in this video as their investigations are the main documentation of the hauntings at the lighthouse. Their website is down below if you want to check them out. Duddlytown, CT: Connecticut's Own Cursed Village
TheHealersHutDudleytown, Connecticut is an abandoned village up in Cornwall, Connecticut, surround by Bald Mountain, The Coltsfoot Trio and Whitfield Mountain. It was settled first by the Griffith family and then later by the Dudley family, which is how the town came to get it's name. From there there was a series of events that many people thought that the family was cursed and that they brought a curse from England. However, a descendant of the Dudley's debunked all the events that were supposedly connected to the curse. The Warrens came to the land and thought differently leading a flurry of activity that lead the property owners closing the village to the public. You can try to get in but be aware there is a very real chance that the Cornwall Police or the Connecticut State Police may be called on you. It of the Dark Swamp
TheHealersHutThis is the legend of IT of the Dark Swamp in Chepachet, RI a village located in Glocester, RI. Dating back to at least a time when Native American tribes had control of the land, in this case specifically the Pequot and the Nipmuc tribes, to the connection to HP Lovecraft as he wound his way through town looking for information on the creature and trying to find it while walking through the swamp. Many of the locations that Lovecraft stopped at along the way are still standing that you can stop and look at, or even visit in the case of Cady's Tavern. This was a very detailed oriented story with a lot going on, so I ended up reading a lot off my notes and still have problems keeping things straight. I did the best I could. But take a walk with me through the haunted history of Rhode Island and discover one of the places that provided inspiration for one of the greatest horror writers, H.P Lovecraft. https://intothefrayradio.com/the-dark-swamp/ https://www.wpri.com/rhode-show/the-haunted-tale-of-the-dark-swamp/ https://stonewings.wordpress.com/2012/05/23/417/ D'Agostino, Thomas and Arlene Nicholson.
