Dragon Age: The Veilguard has flopped, leaving EA with a massive $6 billion loss in share value after adjusting their revenue forecast. After watching a playthrough of Dragon Age: The Veilguard I think it's safe to say that this is a game with some of Bioware's worst written and voiced characters. Once I've seen some of their dialogues and interactions it's crazy to think, that those are even considered to be a romance option. Someone please bring sanity back into our games... It's been more than 24 hours since Bioware's Dragon Age: The Veilguard released and a lot of people posted their thoughts and impressions about the game in various forums - the r/dragonage Subreddit being one of them. Reading through these opinions turned out to be quite fun. On top of that it's clear that it's not just a 'vocal minority' of gamers who does not like what they see. Did Bioware really not consider any feedback from the gamers during the game's production? It looks like they did - from the Dragon Age: The Veilguard Community Council. But was that Council really representing ALL the DA players? Or was it just there to confirm the devs' and director's biases? Things seem to be getting worse for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Additional vids with the Early Gameplay revealed more flaws and issues with the game - from bad writing, through monotone voice actors up to zero choices and a game that seems to be not "mature" at all. On top of that a playtester revealed many spoilers and the fact, that Bioware really does not want to listen to their audience. I have no more hopes for this game to be any good... A review of IGN's Exclusive First Hands-On Preview vid for Dragon Age: The Veilguard from Bioware. Some positive, some negative aspects - I'm still not convinced whether the game overall is worth it and it's 50/50 for me at this point.
