Tavares, FL Planning & Zoning Meeting on April 18, 2024. No city video made and no public input.
The Tavares, Florida Planning & Zoning Committee met at City Hall on April 18, 2024. There was a short agenda, and the Interim Community Development Director, Antonio Fabre, led the meeting.
Mr Fabre gave an excellent overview of the planning process, and presented maps of currently approved residential and commercial developments in Tavares.
Staff also gave a good overview of the Florida Live Local Act and negative issues that may result.
The attendees were not using the microphones much of the time, so you may have to adjust volume as needed.
Even though the meeting agenda said there was public input, Mr. Fabre refused to allow public input requested by attendees. He said this was a workshop intended only for the committee with no public input allowed.
Additionally, the City staff refused to make a city video of this meeting, even though those staff were in the video control room.
Thus, it is my opinion that the City Staff were preventing full transparency on the discussion, so we will investigate further why they were not transparent.
Also, it would be nice if the committee had a standing agenda item to hear current road usage statistics and discuss ways to reduce excess traffic on Tavares City, Lake County and Florida Highway roads. We don't believe the committee focuses enough on that issue.
For additional information, or to get the PowerPoint, handouts and maps used for the meeting, please get in touch with Susie Novack, City Clerk, at 352.742.6209 or Email Susie Novack at snovack@tavares.org.

On March 22, 2024, Republican candidate Keith Truenow for FL Senate Dist. 13 presented his track record as FL House Rep. and ideas for the Florida Senate at a “Coffee with the Republican Candidates” at the Tavares HQ of the Lake County, FL Republican Party.
This FL Senate Seat is being vacated by retiring Dennis Baxley, so there is no incumbent. Republican opponents for this seat include Ebo Entsuah and Bowen Kou. Another filed opponent, CJ Blanchet has refused to appear at a “Coffee with the Candidates” and in MY opinion (Vance Jochim), she is not a serious candidate.

Election Integrity Update at Lake County, FL Republican monthly meeting Apr. 25, 2023
On April 25, 2023, Lake County (FL) Election Integrity Committee members presented a 20-minute update on their research on election integrity failures, including discussions with Florida legislators. The Committee presenters included Sue Parent, Diane Venetta, and June Lang. The REC Chair is Anthony Sabatini. This video only shows the election integrity presentation and not other parts of the meeting.
Unfortunately, we had no warning of this presentation (not in the agenda) so we did not have our normal video camera and microphone and had to use a cell phone in a hall with terrible acoustics which caused echoes. So, you will have to listen well to understand the presentation.

Election Integrity Summit presentations Nov. 2, 2022 at Villagers for Trump, FL
Multiple speakers presented Florida, Lake & Sumter County election integrity issues at the Villages for Trump ( VFT-Florida) meeting on Nov. 2, 2022. VFT now has over 5,000 members and about 200 were at this meeting. Significant evidence exists that indicates election results may be questionable in the opinion of the speakers. The length of this video is 1 hour, and 38 minutes. Video created and edited by Vance Jochim at FiscalRangers.com. The descriptions of issues below are the sole opinions of Vance Jochim and/or the speakers in the video and reflect notes taken during the event.
Speakers included:
David Gee, VFT President
Lynette Gee, VFT
Jim Volpe from VFT gave an overview and background on the election integrity issues.
Speakers from the Lake County, FL Election Integrity & Vote Protection Committee (VFT is in neighboring Sumter County, FL):
It is important to note they have found many questions of voting integrity issues in Lake County and have been snubbed by the Lake County, FL Supervisor of Elections, Alan Hays. He has even refused to approve 7+ Republicans from being poll watchers.
- Tom Vail at 20:26 in the video described the status of a lawsuit filed by four local voters against the Florida Elections Canvassing Commission, plus Daniel Webster, candidate for US House Florida District 11 who "beat" Laura Loomer in the primaries. The case provides evidence and seeks to annul the primary election for District 11 and require a runoff between Webster and his primary opponent, Laura Loomer. The case is in Leon County, FL, and is case 2022 CA 001592. Vail handed out copies of Plaintiff's complaint.

https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/court-cases/dnc-v-rnc-consent-decree
- Mike Levine at 32:40 in the video with a Powerpoint which will be on our FiscalRangers.com post. Issues include:
- Illegal addresses were used to request voter cards and ballots
- He presented evidence of how voter rolls may have been hacked.
- Address flipping examples were discussed.
- All 67 Florida County SOEs (Supt. of Elections) outsource ballot printing to one company, VR systems
- Local vote counts were not matched to the state counts.
- Double voting situations
- Registering second homes as another voter
- ALL the Florida SOEs had a closed meeting on Oct. 16, 2021, to discuss common policies (perhaps not investigating issues like the above) This was uncovered by Laura Loomer. There was no transparency in the closed meeting.
- Sue Parent at 59:30
- Issues like canvassing neighborhoods of homes showing more than 10 voters at one address, and obtaining resident affidavits saying many did not live there.
- Kris Jurski (the IT "guy" or analyst) at 1:08:03 describes his analysis of State and local registration and voting databases and the questionable patterns he found.
- His analysis found voters in an entire neighborhood had their address changed to "Red Belly Road" where they then voted, then changed back to their existing address.
- He discussed the major issue of 93,000 Florida vote-by-mail ballots that went to "non-existent" addresses and were returned to SOEs who then still sent ballots to those addresses without removing the apparent badly addressed ballots from their voter registration rolls. In Lake County, he found 21,000 mail pieces went to the wrong addresses and were returned but not removed from voter lists.
Questions and Answers - 1:13:40

Villagers For Trump - Karen Jaroch on ESG, Kris Jurski on election integrity, Laura Loomer
This jam packed meeting in The Villages, FL, led by Chairman David Gee, featured these speakers:
1. Laura Loomer (starts at 9:38) was candidate for US Congress Florida Dist. 11, but "lost" to incumbent Dan Webster. He was invited, but would not attend, so she was given some time - she does not plan to concede the race.
2. Karen Jaroch from Heritage Action (starts at 21:41) spoke on the Communist/Democrat initiative ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), which pushes businesses to focus on ESG goals, not profits. She discussed why the ESG focus by businesses is harmful to pensions and investors and employees.
3. Kris Jurski of the Lake County, FL Election Integrity & Security Committee (starts at 47:24) spoke on his latest findings on questionable Lake County election data analysis and how fake streets are being used as a base to vote apparent ghost votes.

Laura Loomer for Congress Pep Rally before Fox News Interview - Aug 21, 2022
Aishah Hasnie from Fox News came out to The Villages, FL on August 21 to interview Laura Loomer, candidate for Florida's US Congress District 11 seat.
Before the interview, she had 100 supporters show up to hear a rousing 11 minute speech. This video shows "the gathering" of Boomers for Loomer, and her pep talk to them.
Fox would not let us video the interview, but you can find links on LauraLoomerForCongress Telegram account. They pulled excerpts from it for several shows including Brett Baier. But watching this should give you most of her talking points.
Quotes from Laura Loomer:
I want to be your human bulldozer in Congress...
We will call out the Rinos...
We are going to make election integrity a front and center topic...
We are going to make our voices heard...
I am going to break up Big Tech and finally hold them accountable...
We the people are pissed off...
I look forward to teaching Republicans how to fight...
No more sitting on the sidelines...

Laura Loomer, US Congressional Dist. 11 (Florida) Candidate, interviewed by Vance Jochim
I caught up with US House Dist. 11 Congressional Candidate Laura Loomer at her campaign headquarters in Fruitland Park (The Villages) on Aug. 13, 2022. Among frequent phone calls, dictates to field staff walking up to 300 houses per day, news on opponent Dan Webster was seen walking doors also in Apopka and phone troubleshooting, we discussed 20 key questions I had regarding her election campaign. Interview length is 1 hour, 7 minutes.

Full Disclosure: I am a Laura Loomer supporter, but I write a Lake County, FL fiscal watchdog blog, FiscalRangers.com, and attempted to get answers to questions not asked elsewhere. Below are my notes on the video, in case you want to skim them first.
========================================
Notes from edit and review of video
- Watch this with the idea that will her independence from establishment Rinos, skills of communication and fast action benefit you more than Dan Webster?
- Undercover for Project Veritas while in college
- Undercover in Trayvon Martin case
- Undercover in Black Lives matter investigations
- Wrote the book "Loomered" - How she became the most banned woman in the world (from social media).
- She talks fast because as a video journalist, she learned to describe a story in 30 seconds for Fox News.
- Due to her effective investigations, she was banned by social media including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube plus her bank shut her account and she cannot get an Uber or Lyft ride.
- Even while de-platformed, Laura ran for Congress in Palm Beach County
- Dan Webster issues per Laura
- He skipped the vote on the Jan. 6th Commission formation by Democrats, which is now using biased hearings to target and harass Trump & his supporters.
- He skipped the vote on the Democrat's 2nd impeachment attempt of Donald Trump,
- Dan Webster does NOT believe the 2020 election was stolen.
- Webster is the 7th most absent member of the US Congress, and missed over 15% of the votes in 2021. As a result, Laura refers to him as "Do Nothing Dan"!
- Dan Webster skipped the vote when Democrats tried to federalize our elections and give illegal aliens the right to vote.
- "If you are not going to show up to oppose a Communist takeover (by the Democrats), you are complicit with the Communist takeover..."
- She has been fighting the big tech firms and their bias and censorship long before she ran for Congress.
- She invented "Loomering" (the title of her book is "Loomered"), based upon the concept of "Looming" over someone and not going away. She uses her cell phone and gets in the face of a politician and asks tough questions we all want to hear, but no one else asks them. "I hover over politicians and just won't go away, being described as a gadfly...". "It's a new form of Journalism...". She has Loomered Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and even local Lake County Supt. of Elections Alan Hays.
- She was the Communications Director as well as investigator for Project Veritas.
- Her heroes include James O'Keefe of Project Veritas, Roger Stone, Donald Trump, Michelle Malkin & Andrew Breitbart.
- Her book, Loomered, is an autobiography of her life before she turned 29. "It is a warning cry on what can happen to people.,.".
- She worked as an independent journalist and building her multi-media business, all self created at age 25, when social media de-platformed her ability to communicate, killing her business. "People used to think she deserved the de-platforming, but now they realize it could happen to them...". Currently, "no one in our party is trying to stop this...".
- As we get closer to the Tuesday, August 23, 2022 primary vote, Laura hopes that President Donald Trump will endorse her like he did in her Palm Beach County Congressional campaign which she barely lost. She said that Trump usually waits until just before an election to issue endorsements for the entire state as he has done in other states that have earlier primary election dates. The recent raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago home may have delayed his Florida endorsements.
- Roger Stone has told Laura that Donald Trump refers to Daniel Webster as "the guy who didn't support me during the second impeachment".
- If people say she has not obtained Donald Trump's endorsement this time around, "well guess what... he hasn't endorsed Webster either!".
- She gives out her phone number, 561-635-2962, everywhere, but I learned it is NOT for voice calls and messages, but TEXT messages. She lives in a world of text messaging. (VJ).
- When elected she will use her support in this heavily Republican and conservative Congressional District 11 to advocate for right wing values. "I will put Lake County on the national map, and everyone will know where District 11 is. (all four Florida counties that are in it). " In contrast, Dan Webster rarely supports such issues. "There are people here in Lake County who have had the FBI raid their home because they went to the Jan. 6th event." Webster has not spoken out and assisted them (that we know of).
- Regarding local actions: "I am not here to fix potholes. I need to know where the potholes are. My job (when elected) is to represent my four counties on issues of national importance and localize it ... and vote in their interests."
- She is not even in Congress yet, but is having Town Hall meetings (I have been to several), while Dan Webster does not attend or hold them (in my opinion). 35:00
- She doesn't fix car engines or cook much except really good barbecued ribs. Her skills are verbal communications and being a "voice for the people".
- Even though young, she has supervised people like reporters at Project Veritas, and her own multi-media firm before de-platforming shut it down. AND, she runs a tight election campaign team. So she should be able to supervise and direct staff when elected. "I oversaw the entire media strategy for Project Veritas during the 2016 elections." And she got 100-million views.
- Before Twitter shut her down, Laura had 265,000 followers but her "reach" was over 150-million impressions or views. She had more views than CNN & MSNBC had "collectively" in a month.
- Webster supporters post criticism's of Laura Loomer on Facebook and social media, knowing she has no ability to respond or even advertise on social media.
- Zingers from supporters of Dan Webster
- Will she continue to live in Lake County if she loses the election. "Yes" she say... she will live in the District, which is four counties. She moved to Lady Lake to run for Congress at the invitation of local Republicans.
- PHONE number not for voice, but text - I edited out at about 45:10 the 5-6 minutes spent trying to show her phone number worked.
- Q: Why is she running against a Republican vs a Democrat incumbent? Answer: She repeated the issues with Webster cited above. She considers him to be a RINO - Republican in Name Only. (I consider him to act like a RINO also, plus he skipped MOST local Town Halls for the last few years, plus he voted to give Ukraine $40-billion with ANY OVERSIGHT ON THE SPENDING).
- Q: Why does the Bush/Chaney group hate Trump so much? Ans: They are globalists and Bush created the Patriot Act which is not being weaponized to attack conservative Americans.
- Florida Election Integrity: Florida should shut down the independent Florida Supervisors' of Elections , Inc. association which helps county SOE's skirt sunshine laws and she exposed with a Loomering visit. "It is a mouthpiece for the 67 elected Florida Supervisors of Elections." They all signed a petition opposing Gov. DeSantis Election Integrity bill last year (2021). They also attended an event sponsored by Dominion, marketer of the Dominion Voting Machines used by a majority of Florida Counties (Lake County uses ES&S machines. Laura considers the group and event to be a violation of Florida Sunshine laws, but no one has been held accountable.
- What Congress members would she like to "hang with"? Congressman Paul Gosar endorsed her (51:14) , and she likes the Congressional Freedom Caucus, Marjorie Taylor Green,.
- Committees she would like to be on: House Energy & Commerce Committee (which oversees Big Tech), the Appropriations Committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Judiciary Committee.
- Investigation committees are "Kabuki Theater" and "are basically used by Republicans (and Dems) for public grandstanding to create talking points for TV or social media." Laura wants to see less hearings and "more action". (I agree). "We already have the evidence, so people need to be going to jail". "There is too much talking and not enough action".
- Congress does not control the judiciary or have prosecution or law enforcement authority, but they control the purse strings, thus can reduce budgets of non-cooperating departments or programs or even "threaten a government shutdown".
- The Democrat controlled Congress has decided to embrace a Communist/Marxist philosophy and Laura rejects that "entirely".
- International Relations: "We should not be sending billions of dollars to Ukraine. Why are we supporting a proxy border war in the Ukraine when we don't control our own borders? " A CBS News Documentary "Arming Ukraine" last week (Aug. 7) interviewed people who said only 30% of a recent $40-billion actually made it's way to relief programs for the Ukrainians. (See the article links at this Google search). Note: CBS later updated the report "with new information" and removed the 30% comment (not surprising).
- "Back in April, he estimated that just "30-40%" of the supplies coming across the border reached its final destination. But he says the situation has significantly improved since then and a much larger quantity now gets where it's supposed to go."
- She would like to defund the DOJ, FBI & IRS.
- In conclusion: "I am a worker and fighter and going to DC not to make friends but to fight for you, your children and fight for your grandchildren so they don't live under Communism.

Laura Loomer, candidate for US House Florida Dist. 11 - Meet & Greet, July 25, 2022 in Clermont, FL
Candidate Laura Loomer, running against incumbent Daniel Webster for US Congress District 11 (mostly Lake County, FL) gave a rousing speech during her Meet & Greet event at Clermont's River Church on July 25, 2022.
We missed the first 10 minutes, but there were many standing ovations for the points she focuses on, such as the incumbent's low voting attendance records, lack of support of Donald Trump, etc.
In my opinion, one failure of Webster was to vote for billions to be sent to the Ukraine, which was bad enough, but then there was no oversight requirement, thus corruption will run rampant over all the equipment sent to the Ukraine.
