Sierra Trail Camera videos

It is not unusual for us to get a daytime shot of the little one. He often will come out and snag a biscuit early before the bigger ones come out.

There were times he seemed nervous-staring across the campsite. Later when checking the other cameras we saw the bear was back.

The racoon hung out for awhile even venturing up to the cave. There he watched the mice running around below. This back and forth went on throughout the night.

Someone new has discovered the treats at the possum cave. If you watch you will see the possum watching the racoon enjoying the treats.

Just a flock of turkeys going by.

We had a couple of mama's with the young ones come through and find the carrots. In this shot we have one of the young ones happily kicking up their heels and running off.

He ate some more and then went and made himself comfortable on the bridge again.

He settled in for the nap and then decided to stick his head through the gap and get a drink.

He came through and hung out for a few hours eating and napping. More videos to follow.

This is why this bear was napping so much. He had spent quite a bit of time cleaning up (gorging) on about 15 pounds of dog food.

This was one of the bigger bears. He ended up eating a few of the apples and later finding the sealed bucket of dog food. He ripped a hole in the top and dumped it in the creek.

He really was settling in for a nap when we came down and disturbed him.

This guy came and went a few times. He is walking on the other bank to get an apple floating on the water's edge.

The eyes you see staring are a mountain lion. He even lays down and watches. Not sure if he is watching our dog Lux or waiting for our cat Rain.

This is the one from a couple of days ago. He was definitely heading down to the garbage cans at the end of the main road. Our gate cut him off so he had to go around.

Everyone wanted that apple but no one wanted to get in the water. This went on for 2-3 hours with different possums. The apple was still there the next morning.

He had grabbed one of the apples and was looking for a safe place to eat it. He tried to climb the tree unsuccessfully and ended up going behind it to enjoy his treat.

I love how he grabs a biscuit and then quickly backs away. He was probably thinking it was a trap.

We caught this one coming and going back 2 hours later. He was probably heading to check out the garbage cans at the end of the main road.

It has been a couple of weeks since the #MosquitoFire. We are starting to see more bears pop up on the cameras. This one looks young.

Hadn't seen them for awhile - they are back.

We see him go into the cave and comes out with something in his mouth. At first we panicked that it might be the little possum but they showed up on video a couple hours later.

This must be the year of the possum. This little guy is up by the house. So this makes at least 3 young ones on the mountain.

Just a quick snack. This is another reason they are so good for the forest. Now if it would just catch a few mice...
