Alex Asbury is a former college football player turned pro boxer — who believes he’s got all the athletic tools to be a Power Slap champion. After spending two years playing for coach Buddy Stephens at East Mississippi Community College (the school featured on “Last Chance U”), Asbury jumped right into combat sports and went on a 12 fight win streak as an amateur boxer. Asbury says he’s modeled his fighting style after his idols, Floyd Mayweather and Rampage Jackson. “I studied [Floyd] like you wouldn’t believe. He’s so calm in a fight, it’s scary. And I wanted to be that.” Asbury also believes he’s got a secret weapon — his hips. “With Power Slap, one thing I learned is that if you have good hips, it’s a game changer. Sheena Bathory gotDana White’s attention at the Power Slap qualifiers back in March, delivering a jaw-dropping knockout blow that sent her opponent summersaulting backwards!! Now, the “Hungarian Hurricane” is joining Power Slap as an assistant coach with Team Wolverine, where she’ll share her extensive strength-training and striking knowledge with the next crop of slap fighters. Sheena — who comes from a family of accomplished Judo athletes — began her training at 5-years-old and racked up several championships over the years. She began competing in freestyle wrestling at age 20 and quickly became one of the best in Hungary. In 2021, Bathory competed on the Hungarian TV show “Exatlon” — an extreme sports competition — and instantly became a fan favorite. She also recently competed as a bodybuilder at the Shawn Ray Hawaiian Classic and scored 2 medals in the wellness bikini divisions. What’s her secret to success?? "Every day of my life, I'm living as a professional athlete,” Bathory says … “No drugs. I’m cooking my meals. Sleeping well … I never know when the opportunity is coming so I want to be ready for it. And I’m f***ing ready."

Duane Crespo is a retired U.S. Marine who says MMA saved his life -- and now he's gunning for the Power Slap heavyweight title. “I was a disabled vet. Struggled walking, had speech problems and other medical problems. Martial arts saved my life and got me healthy.” Now, Crespo -- aka "The Iron Giant" -- is a force to be reckoned with ... demonstrating serious power at the Power Slap qualifiers and putting the entire heavyweight division on notice. “Anybody you give me, I’m fine with it,” Crespo says … “I can put ‘em down with one strike.” Crespo — who’s competed in several bare knuckle, MMA and Muay Thai fights — says his biggest professional influence is Kobe Bryant, who inspired him to take his training to the next level. “Mamba Mentality. Chris Debow is a 27 year old middleweight from Texas … and this dude has a CHIN. It sounds crazy, but Debow says he loves to get hit and has his sites set on one of the most dangerous men in the sport, Chris Thomas. If he lives up to his potential, Debow could get his wish sooner than later. Andrew Fields is a welder who’s been training for Power Slap by smacking metal beams — and now he’s ready to move to faces. The 23-year-old welterweight says he’s been in tons of street fights and claims his chin is certified. He also says he’s got the power to end a match in 1 slap. We’ll find out soon enough! AyJay Hintz is hardcore punk meets hardcore combat -- in the best possible way. The Wisconsin native is an experienced combat sports athlete who lives for the adrenaline rush he gets from fighting ... and mosh pits.
